Hi all! since PMMA has often different consistencies when it is inserted, so some parts are a bit harder than others, I would like to know if you over the years have noticed a softening of the harder parts, as if they were more of a whole together with the rest of the other parts. If this happened did it happen in the first few months, after at least a year, or both?

You have to keep in mind that not everyone who has had PMMA logs in every day and your inquiry is only 24 hours old. Furthermore, even for those who have had PMMA, a good many of them either (1) haven't had it long enough to assess if there is any significant softening and/or (2) never found any concern with "the softness" of their collagen to pay any mind to it over a given period of time.

For me, I do know that some of my smaller nodules did soften with time, but for as whether or not the entire shaft softened over time is hard to say... likely not much if anything at all. I'm sure this may vary person-to-person but to be frank, but I don't recall any reports that suggested the PMMA was "so hard that it presented a problem."

I have experience some softening of areas that had some nodules or detectable fibrosis. I also had a small void after my third touchup round that seems to have filled in. So it seems as if it did get more even over time.

My first round was nearly three years ago, and I've gotten two more full sessions and then three touch ups since then.

After a month or two the small lumps disappeared. Since then, there's been no change in hardness. No one would guess that my size is artificial. I've had it for about three years now.
