Considering a procedure with that following compound filler. Not sure if it’s PMMA or something else?

Any recommendations as I’ve never had any filler procedure prior.

This is the make up:
95 % is carboxymethylcellulose
4% is siloxane
1% is lidocaine

My initial searches indicated two findings on this "CMC":

(1) it's relatively new on the cosmetic filler scene;
(2) and it appears to be effectively an "HA" alternative.

This would NOT make it like PMMA in that it is NOT permanent. If it was between CMC and HA, I'd stick with HA since it's tried & true.

That said, I'd be very interested in seeing what kind of potential this particular filler has as far as (a) longevity is concerned, (b) overall relative safety of filler, and (c) effectiveness for Girth application (and not just general cosmetic/facial use).

Do you mind sharing the Clinic/Doctor offering this?

How about the siloxane?
Looks to be Silicone or silicone oil.

Its used by Dr Moghadam.

I would ask him or anyone familiar with (Dermal Filler) CMC more about that; Since this is a volume filler, I suspect the siloxane serves something like a binding or cross-linking agent, but this is purely speculation on my part and I'm not qualified on either the chemistry or medicine behind CMC.

I doubt you could consider this a "silicone" injection based on its alleged makeup, but a medical expert is better to chime in, especially if they have familiarity with the filler.

Perhaps you can ask Dr. Moghadam a few CMC-centric related questions and relay them back to the forum?

What kind of CMC questions should I ask?
He mentions Dr Loria on one of his pages and says the procedure is similar to what Dr Loria offers.
Says it’s a permanent collagen building filler.
30 day wrap downtime (abstaining).

Debating between HA / Bellafill from Dr Jason Emer or this other filler from Modern Arsthetica.

I went with HA / Bellafill mix. Was going to just do HA but then got talked into Bellafill mix. Heard mixed things about Bellafill but hopefully ends up ok.
He mixed 5 syringes of Bellafill with 9 syringes of Juvaderm Voluma HA

If he compares his procedure and/or filler to Dr. Loria, go ahead and scratch it off your list; no self-respecting practitioner would model their Phalloplasty after a quack.

@SO

I didn’t end up going with Modern Aesthica since they weren’t as forthcoming. I had to really pry on the material used. Found out it’s the same as Dr Loria and this Dr was trained by Dr Loria. Bellafill PMMA makes me nervous but a silicone mix, worries me even more.

I ended up going with Dr Emer, Juvaderm HA / 20% PMMA Bellafill. In hindsight I wish I had gone HA only but I am hopeful since I already did it. Dr Emer seemed skilled but was very expensive and not accessible and all communication is through assistants. If it wasn’t for this board, I think I would of had a worse outcome.
