I spoke to a rep from Morganstern today. I need to get circumscribed before I can be considered for any enhancement procedures.
I'd love to go to Avanti and get the PMMA done but I need to speak with them and gauge costs, travel, etc...
Anyway, is there any way I can have this covered by insurance as opposed to having them do it? There charging like 4K for a Circumcision!
I"m thinking of going to my Urologist and telling him its tight when I'm Erect...anything to get them to do it and it to be covered.
Any thoughts?

Who is they that’s charging you? Morganstern? I’d highly recommend not going to a Urologist who doesn’t specialize in cosmetic circumcisions. Urologists who do circs strictly for Phimosis mostly do one method and style. They don’t care about different styles and don’t practice it. They don’t teach high/low, tight/loose cuts in medical school they barely teach urologists how to do circs. Cosmetic circ surgeons learn by doing. General urologists generally use larger stitches that cause more scarring and don’t put as much effort into the comfort of your after care during nocturnal erections.

You can probably find a good surgeon for between $1750-2500. I recommend paying with no interest credit if you can’t afford the cash. Don’t go the cheap route when it comes to this. This is just my opinion. Do you know how many circs your Urologist has done, how many were a success, what his scars look like, what styles he can do? If you answered no to any of those I wouldn’t go with him or her. I wouldn’t recommend any clamp/ring methods or methods with glue. These methods greatly restrict customization to your anatomy and glue is a bad idea. Don’t go to one who induces an Erection.

I’d get a low cut but not too low. Keep some inner skin. I’d cut the Frenulum but keep all the inner skin surrounding it. Look at Member justn8’s circ. I got the the Frenulum cut but the area is still real sensitive because the nerves run deeper (not sure if that’s because I’m only 10 weeks out). I love it. I’m saying this because guys get low cuts that get rid of all the inner skin bit you can’t get it back. Get it as tight as the doc is comfortable to make it, as tight as it can go while still maintaining a comfortable Erection and not impacting curvature. Your anatomy has a lot to do with this. Looseness is a broad spectrum. Tight and loose mean different things to different people. Think the most popular pornstars are tight? No, they aren’t tight in the sense of being drum tight when Erect. Next time you watch porn, notice how much their skin is moving during foreplay. There are guys on the Reddit circ sub who think your circ isn’t tight if your skin has any give to it when Erect. It’s quite astonishing actually. They don’t understand that there’s a spectrum and will label a guy who isn’t drum tight as loose. Guys get upset when there’s loose skin when they are Flaccid even though it’s tight when Erect. Does that mean you have a loose cut? No. But on that sub they’re judging everyone’s tightness by the look of their Flaccid Dick. Doctors are getting sued for taking off too much skin. You think they aren’t going to leave some skin on a Grower’s Flaccid Dick? It’s ridiculous to think otherwise. You can always get a Revision to go lower and tighter but not the reverse.

I would not trade the looks and sensation of beeing uncircumsized for more Girth. When your glans is uncovered when Erect i wud recommend against circumisation.

I just had my Circumcision today. It ended up getting covered largely by insurance, and I only ended up spending ~$560 in total, with the bulk of that going to the hospital for anesthesia. You should definitely go with a Urologist and you don't need to go with Morganstern or any of those other clinics that don't take insurance. Just make sure the uro you go with is on the same page with you exactly in regards to the results you want, and how he's going to achieve it for you.

It’s not that easy. You’re making it seem like every Urologist practices cosmetic circs and can just cut it to your liking. I’m not saying there aren’t urologists who can do it. Their method may be how you want it. But by and large they didn’t get into Urology to develop the art of circumcising. They want to treat medical conditions.

You essentially have to meet a doctor to talk with them and find out what they can and can’t do. This can take a lot of time if they aren’t what you want. If you have those meetings completely covered by insurance, great, if not it can def add up and be a waste of money.

That’s why I said you need to talk with your uro to make sure you’re on the same page with him. This means covering every single detail with what you’re looking to accomplish aesthetically and him understanding what kind of cut you want.

A doc does not need to have a booklet of before and after images for you to understand if he’s good or not at cosmetic circumcisions. Dr. Cornell who is widely regarded as a uro who gives cosmetic circumcisions has plenty of failed cases along with patients that he didn’t even follow the cut that they were going for. He also doesn’t take insurance and costs thousands of $$$.

OP do your research and talk to multiple uros. You’ll know when you’ve met the right one when he goes through your goals in depth and understands exactly what you want. My uro walked with me through a bunch of images on google to see what I preferred, understood the exact mm away from the glans I wanted my cut, explained exactly the method he would take and why. He never oversold himself and provides great aftercare with a good bedside personality.

If your doctor visits are fully covered and you have the time, by all means go on a search for a Urologist by physically sitting down and visiting with them. Then you’ll have to set up the circ appt as opposed to same day. It’s not like appointments are backed up because of Covid, I’m sure you can get right in. There’s more involved than where you want the scar line. Let’s say you find someone who has experience cutting how you want but uses large stitches in a separated pattern and doesn’t wrap you. Would you still go with him or her?

Plenty of failed cases? Failed how? He’s done over 2,000 adult circs, more than probably any doctor in the us. You think they’ll all turn out perfect? Perfect vs failed, huge difference. He doesn’t cut some guys how they want because their anatomy doesn’t allow for it. He’s not going to cut someone too tight to the point their Dick bends. Again, you read that second hand on Reddit by guys who think everyone can get that type of cut. Mostly, from what I’ve read, I feel it’s guys from a certain community who want the perfect Flaccid Dick. He has been through legal trouble regarding, guess what, taking too much skin off. It’s not like he hasn’t been down the road of trying to get the perfect cut for guys. I wonder what that guy asked for, a tight cut? Probably. And Dr. C tried to give him one at the patients own risk but before his patients had to sign waivers. Show me a case where he didn’t put the scar line where they wanted. He cost $2500, same day consultation. Not a very big investment considering someone is cutting my Foreskin off. Not everyone has great insurance. My deductible is real high and only select hospitals take it. I would have had to go to a hospital where urologists very seldom do adult circs and would essentially be rolling the dice. If I’m paying towards a deductible that I’ll never meet unless I get in a severe car accident or get run over by a car, in which the doctors I can see is limited and appointments back logged till December, the choice was pretty easy to me.

I'm not sure why you're discrediting Reddit posts when they have as much credibility as the guys who post to these forums. Patients asking for a certain cut and not getting it doesn't mean that they're asking for a perfect cut, it means they're asking for a specific style and the doctor is not delivering on it. Dr. Cornell has a track record of cutting too loosely even when the patient is asking for a tight cut, and a tight cut is achievable for any patient. He just doesn't go the extra mile (inducing an erection during surgery) to achieve their results.

Examples:
* www.reddit.com/r/lowandtight/comments/io...the_lowest_tightest/ Asked for a low and tight cut, instead received the complete opposite, a high and loose cut. Also, the scar is twisted: imgur.com/a/ZQOj61G#7aaFEdu
* www.reddit.com/r/circumcision/comments/i...ell_but_not/g47bk1y/
* www.reddit.com/r/circumcision/comments/i...t_physician/g21zsja/
* Like you mentioned, he has million dollar medical malpractice suits against him
And more..

Excusing the doctor for not doing what the patient asks for because he is worried of cutting them too tightly is a copout answer. He should also be very transparent with the patient beforehand that he believes their anatomy is not set up to get the results they want. He doesn't induce erections during surgery, and he doesn't even mark flaccid penises before operating.

I understand your medical insurance might not be great to save on this type of surgery, but you would be surprised at costs. My urologist out of pocket fees would only have cost $250 if my insurance didn't cover it. He also said if my insurance didn't cover enough of the anesthesia and operating room at the hospital, he would be willing to do it in his office and use local anesthesia to save me on money.

Committing to paying $2,500 with Dr. Cornell before even meeting him is a mistake in my opinion. You have to factor in flying out to see him (if you're not local) a potential hotel stay, and likely you will sign up to get the surgery on the spot if you want to save on your deposit. You don't have the flexibility that you would have otherwise by meeting doctors in your local area.

I think there's pros and cons to each, but a blanket statement that going to a doctor like Cornell/popularly marketed doctors without considering other options is foolish imo.

After I get Ellanse, if it’s too loose to the point there are issues with the filler, I’ll admit he fucked it up. I don’t really know how it’s going to turn out. When we say you want a tight cut, how tight is the question. I’ll get a revision from someone else probably if it is.

I'm not sure why you're discrediting Reddit posts

I told you exactly why you can discredit some of them. Again, they aren't judging tightness on a spectrum. A lot think if it's not the tightest it can be, it's loose. They interpret it how they want. Again, if someone is tight when erect how was the doctor supossed to make him tight flaccid? Yet, their extra skin flaccid is determined a loose cut. It's like calling someone with 1% body fat ripped and someone with 10% fat. What credibility are you talking about? Do you know how many scammers are on reddit? There's not someone fact checking Reddit. You can by and large post shit that doesn't make sense.

* www.reddit.com/r/lowandtight/comments/io...the_lowest_tightest/ Asked for a low and tight cut, instead received the complete opposite, a high and loose cut. Also, the scar is twisted: imgur.com/a/ZQOj61G#7aaFEdu

At no time in this link does he say he requested a low and tight from Dr. Cornell. No Discussion on what it's like erect. I see a pic that looks erect and it doesn't seem that loose.

* www.reddit.com/r/circumcision/comments/i...ell_but_not/g47bk1y/

Never says why. No idea if it's Dr. Cornell's fault.

* www.reddit.com/r/circumcision/comments/i...t_physician/g21zsja/

Another reason why you should be wary of redditors: cyri2 seems to have only made posts talking negatively about Dr. Cornell. No pictures of his dick. Yet, he mentions showing Dr. Reed his scar line and of course he said Dr. Reed said it was sloppy. Shocking. Funny you mention the credibility of members on this board, luckily the moderators here do a good job of sorting it out.

from bartbartram77: Will most definitely need a revision

He'll "NEED" a revision because he didn't get the perfect dick. Do you understand that this happens all the time with cosmetic surgery? We have these expectations going in but often they don't turn out exactly like them.

Also from Reddit: If anything I’d say a proper cosmetic surgeon is the best route.

Really? There's plenty of people that have described loving his work. You don't build a reputation like he did if he wasn't proper. That's silly.

He doesn't induce erections during surgery, and he doesn't even mark flaccid penises before operating.

There's good reasons why he doesn't induce erections and they're very similar to Dr. C's reasons, the guy you're going to go see. Interesting, he marked my dick.

You don't have the flexibility that you would have otherwise by meeting doctors in your local area.

It's about $550 to see a urologist where I'm at. Some were booked for months just to see them, not even to do the surgery. I could see Dr. Cornell in a week. The first local urologist I went to said that when I asked her about low/high, tight/loose she got worried and nervous that I wouldn't like the outcome. She said those aren't medical terms and very few urologists use them. She said she does it one way, always have and that she's not a cosmetic surgeon., she treats phimosis. This is one of the lead doctors of the urology department at the hospital and one I recommended to by the support staff for a circumcision. So, I blew $550. It wasn't a very good idea to keep visiting doctors in hopes I can find one that even has experience with doing these requests much less is good at it.

Good luck. It just makes sense if you’re getting cut to get a filler you should get a cut that’s best for it. Your Urologist may have experience doing this, he may not. You’re getting a cosmetic procedure done. He’s not a cosmetic surgeon.

Don’t wash it for a week, get it a little red. You can get treated for balantis.

Anyone knows a good doctor who performs circumcisions after filler-op?

They told me the same and I just don't wanna get circumsized. Its definitely a disadvantage if you not suffering from PE. This is what the famous pornstar Rocco Siffredi said after he got circumsized. He found that out the hard way when he was Circumcised at 31 for hygiene reasons. Siffredi, who calls his decision “catastrophic,” says that with a Foreskin, “you can feel much more fun.”
Please educate yourself before you spent money to feel less.
