What kind of driver's license do you have? If it an enhanced driver's license then you can cross back from Mexico with just that. More info: www.dmv.org/driving-abroad/passport-license.php

Well I just checked into the Grand. My appointment is in 2 hours. Coming in took max 30 min. Driver very friendly and helpful. I had emailed about my passport situation and was informed to bring license and birth certificate and that I would be fine. I've also brought a few other forms of ID just in case. I'm sure I'll get a stern talking to at the border but I'll keep everyone updated on crossing in and out. I'll also start my own thread under progression to keep anyone that may be contemplating the procedure updated.

@GirthyGoals lol we just missed each other. I just left the Gtand about 45min ago and just got to the airport. Crossing back in was a quick breeze as they use a medical pass to jump to the front.

Yes, if you do not a valid passport an ID and birth certificate will suffice.

Good luck GG!

Glsd to hear you checked in about the passport. How was your appointment today and how is everything looking? I just came back from a check up and Dr. C's staff (Ian) was fantastic as always. Leaving tomorrow at 8:30a.

What’s the medical pass? Is it something g from the driver or does Avanti provide it? Does it say why you were given it? It would seem weird to have to explain to the border guard why you were there lol. I’m hoping they don’t pry about what kind of medical procedure not sure if they are allowed to know. Guess I’ll find out more next week.

The driver will have it already but the boarder guard will ask what type of procedure you had. You can just respond with the truth, dermatological.

It's just a pass that Avanti can arrange for the shuttle drivers so they can go through the medical lane, which is vastly faster and more streamlined than the regular lanes. The immigration inspectors generally don't ask questions about the type of procedure. They know that you were there for a medical procedure already so basically just ask if you're bringing anything back. However, answering, "some meds and a bigger Dick" would probably get you waved through pretty quickly haha.

I would recommend handing the passport over like you normally would and not pointing out that it's expired. They may not bother mentioning it or just may point it out as a notice. Also only hand over the supporting docs if requested or it seems like you're going to be given problems. Also, be sure to print out the email telling you that it will be alright to re-enter with a license and birth certificate.

So spending today lounging around hotel, watching tv, and massaging. I saw Ian this morning for check up he said everything looks good. My Dick still looks like it was run over by a train after going 10rds with Mike Tyson. I definitely want to give a big thank you to this group without all the previous progress reports I would've been nervous about the amount of bruising but I know it's normal. I have another check up at 12:45 with Ian. My advice for any considering this is basically an echo of what some of the others have said. Be proactive bring your own sleeve to keep in an extended state, bring some form of heat. I'm a hunter so I use hand warmers.
