TOPIC: Voluma dilution

Doc I’m talking to mentioned he is only comfortable doing 5 syringes of voluma at a time. He says he dilutes it 2-1 or 3-1 so that it is less likely to cause lumps.

Does anyone have experience with being injected with diluted voluma?

Which practice? I've personally never heard of that. Doing small volumes at a time sounds reasonable, but diluting sounds odd because it can be dissolved easily.

The whole point of doing small volumes is to avoid lumps and bumps. Couple this with the fact that it is easily reversible, I wonder if perhaps the practitioner is still refining his or her skills due to a lack of experience and finds diluting it a sure-fire way to avoid aesthetic irregularities. Or the individual in question could be very experienced and the product dilution is a method developed from years of injection practice. Or it could just be flat-out experimental (which isn't necessarily a bad thing either, since if you're going to experiment with any filler, HA would be the way to go).

I assume that the saline he uses will go away in a few weeks and you can add more but at 1k a syringe and needing 15ml a year that is real pricey.
