TOPIC: Penile implant and PMMA..Update July 2020

Penile implant and PMMA 4 years 9 months ago #1308696513

Hello everyone..I had two rounds of PMMA.
My ED has been slowly deteriorating in last 4 years and have been taking Cialis .
Last September I went to a mens clinic and have tried IC injections..didnt work.
Met another Urologist and Toronto ..he just prescribed MUSE.
Am considering to fix this issue permanently a penile implant looking the best option.

Curious to know if anyone with PMMA got a penile implant.

Any concerns that I need to share with my surgeon.

I haven't looked back at your older posts, but unless I'm thinking of someone else, I thought you were relatively young and in good shape...?... did they do enough testing to say exactly what the cause of the ED was?

I am 45..no health issues. Work out regularly and never smoked, hardly drink.

The clinic I did my shockwave did measure a penile blood flow(I take that with grain of salt) but they did say it was decreasing.
Tried few sessions of IC injections and nothing changed. The Urologist prescribed MUSE..have tried 500 and 1000 ..didnt notice anything much.

I am going to my family doctor again for referral to see another Urologist in Toronto, maybe he will do a doppler.

From what I have read in forums etc..I might have a venous leakage.

If you end up doing a consultation and deciding to move forward with an ED implant, you should absolutely have your surgeon get in touch with your PMMA practitioner. You'd be surprised, but a lot of doctors aren't very familiar with dermal fillers in the penis and you want to be sure your surgeon knows what's inside of you before making any incisions.

You should see someone really good who's an expert in ED, and get this thoroughly tested before making any decisions. From what I've read, guys under 50 with no other risk factors may respond well to surgical treatment, if in fact it is a Venous Leak. Good luck.

Check out this guy's thread: phalloboards.websitetoolbox.com/post/cav...ub-5677781?&trail=15

He have had a few rounds of PMMA after he have had IPP in 2004. Also he's got a revision of IPP a couple of years ago, so it's not a problem for expirienced surgeon to implant IPP for a patient with PMMA. But I guess it slightly increase risk of infection rate. Let's say, if a top-volume surgeon have less than 1% infection rate for a patient without any prior procedure, for a patient with PMMA those numbers might be higher. Your best bet is top surgeons like Dr.Kramer or Dr.Eid.

I'd personally avoid Dr. Kramer. He posted what I consider one of the most irresponsible YouTube videos I've seen in a while (despite his best intentions):

In the video he describes his patient being picked up by a guy at the Airport who offered to fill him up with "PMMA" but also offered lengthening.
Obviously not Avanti Derma (they don't offer lengthening, let alone up-sell techniques upon being picked up from the airport), but it begs the question, who? To be honest, it sounds like a Dan Salas (S-L-E) operation, a fraudulent outfit in Mexico, but I don't know for sure so let's continue.

The Doctor describes the product as vaseline-like and it having even migrated into the testicles.
Sounds like silicone (almost certainly is, medical-grade PMMA injected correctly has no business or reason to migrate in tangible volumes to the scrotum). Why didn't Dr. Kramer do a simply biopsy of the material before making wild assumptions (and taking the patient's word at face value)?

In my personal opinion, I couldn't trust the implanting of something so invasive (irrespective of how dire my ED was) if the performing physician isn't familiar with the "foreign material" inside of me, especially one so cavalier that they couldn't be bothered to determine the nature of said-material. The guy works with dicks and hasn't caught on to the trending girth filler scene? Yikes.

I can't say for certain Dan Salas was behind the poor soul's filler removal video on Dr. Kramer's site, but he (Dan) is the only other Tijuana operation that promotes PMMA and advertises state-side. *NOTE* Dan Salas pumps you with silicone and will lie to your face about it being PMMA. The man is not qualified in any of the capacities he works in and represents the very worst of the industry.

Dr. Kramer's willingness to assume this is PMMA and perpetuate the "Mexican stigma" is wholly inappropriate, if not unethical. I can't imagine why he'd be so willfully ignorant despite being an "experienced" medical professional. Get some second opinions on your erectile health first, and if an ED implant is a must --> be sure your PMMA practitioner is in touch with that surgeon.

We have quite extensive experience with penile inflatable implants and PMMA.
As a matter of fact, our "Patient One", who received our first PMMA penile enhancement back in September 2007 had the implant surgically inserted years after he finished his rounds with the injectable soft tissue filler. Thirteen years after his PMMA rounds and probably 10 or so years after his IC implant, he is healthy and has a normal life.
We also have worked in a number of patients with their inflatable implants in place.
When deciding on getting any kind of surgery in an area that has been treated with PMMA (penis, face or other), please make sure that your surgeon contacts your injector and that the first one understands PMMA.
@Skeptical One has mentioned a very sad story that involves a young, healthy guy, and silicone oil misrepresented as PMMA... one portion of this story has been published on YouTube without even knowing or investigating the facts... false information, real complications.
I had a phone conversation with the victim and here is my version of the story:
A friend of his came to Avanti Derma (for real PMMA) and he was happy to recommend us to his friends, the victim included.
A few months later, the victim decides to take action, but he did not go back to the source. Instead, he searched for "PMMA-Tijuana" on the internet and ended up in a practice that uses silicone oil under the false name of "PMMA". He got a very high dose of silicone oil, and (of course) he was devastated by the results.
Then, in an attempt to correct this, he goes to an ED specialist in the US (I missed the details for this decision) and tells him that he got PMMA and penile lengthening from "a guy from Tijuana" that picked him at the airport. The doctor takes that information verbatim and (again, I am missing the details for the next decision) ends up implanting the intracavernosal pump into the victim's penis while making a YouTube video titled "Penile implant after failed PMMA injection in Mexico".
What is not publicized after this video is that the substance was not PMMA and that the implant got infected not once but twice and had to be extracted leaving the young guy with a penis and scrotum filled up with silicone oil, and no corpora cavernosa!!! Needless to say, no corpora cavernosa means that there is no way that the patient will have another natural Erection in his life; an irreversible surgical procedure.
These series of mistakes ended up ruining a healthy guy who was trying to enhance the looks of his otherwise normal penis.
Another (much less severe) consequence has been the fact that the video delivers the false idea that this accident was created by PMMA and bashes Tijuana again.

Just because the guy couldn't recognise what exact material was injected in the penis of his patient? Nobody in the world couldn't do it without histology examination. That's not the thing that downplay his professionalism. This doc (Kramer) is surely in the top-5 World surgeons for penile prosthesis with like 300+ surgeries per year and one of the few who have lower than 1% of infection rate in practice. I doubt that any doc in the world would have other opinion about injectable foreign material because the whole PE thing is still considering as something "under table" and not supported by many medical professionals. By no means I'm not against of any form of PE, but it is what it is. PE is still looks too shady, it have a lot of scummers and it's still a taboo in the society, unfortunatelly.

It doesn't change the fact that he spread misinformation and that was irresponsible. He was better off just describing it as an unknown filler, with the possibility of being PMMA because that's what the patient informed him. Rather, he states this in a matter-of-fact way which can bowling ball years of PMMA making progress as a legitimate option for Girth enhancement, because it comes from a "top surgeon in a penis-related field."

I understand that many doctors aren't familiar with Dermal Filler injections in the penis, but that doesn't give them a pass. Ignorance of a particular procedure isn't a free pass when it comes to publishing videos online and making false claims, regardless of his intentions (which I don't think were bad).

Maybe he is a top surgeon in his respective field, and I should walk-back my opinion about not seeing him; if he's good at what he does, then go for it, just be sure he's put in touch with your PMMA doctor. I have nothing against him personally, and perhaps I was too harsh over one video publication.

YES. Thank you doctor C for taking the time to speak with me for well over 30-40 mins. Just want to apologize if that video on youtube from Dr. Kramer has any negative outlook towards Avanti Derma & Dr. C. It was my mistake.(wish i had found you before doing poor research) Avoid SLE.. Save your money and the heartache. SLE does a ligament cut that they come through the scotum and not invasive from the top. AFTER doing research I found out that you cannot properly release the ligament and only have part of it cut because you cannot reach the full ligament from only the scrotom.
