This topic has been discussed at length over the years, and the current consensus seemingly remains:
Hyaluronic Acid (
HA) is arguably the best filler option for glans enhancement, gains aren't significant in the same way you see how shafts grow in thickness (via filler), and it appears to break down (dissipate) quicker in the glans more so than it would in the shaft (likely due to physiological processes in an area so delicate, relatively speaking).
In short, glans enhancement is worthwhile if [1] it's included alongside a shaft augmentation procedure (i.e.
Girth enhancement) in some kind of packaged deal, and/or [2] if you feel your glans are notably disproportionate to your shaft (regardless of pre-op or post-op size), so much so that it justifies a consideration.
The risks I've often observed (both on the Forums and through backchannels, like private messages and/or emails from patients, as well as physician feedback, among other sources) is that the more you try to augment the glans, the greater the propensity for aesthetic irregularity --> filler just doesn't play friendly in the glans and you may end up having unevenness at best and disfigurement at worst (*Note --
HA is temporary so worst case scenario you'd have to wait likely a maximum of a year for it to resume normalcy). If you opt for the low-volume conservative approach, the gains are negligible in my opinion and only worth it if it's somehow packaged alongside with other
Male Enhancement services.
Personally, I'm not a fan of long-term and/or permanent options like
Ellanse or
PMMA for the glans, but it comes from both information gathered + my lukewarm understanding of the complexities that continue to shroud this niche area of enhancement. I suppose said-fillers could work, but I remain skeptical nonetheless.
Trust me when I say I'd be the first to announce a
consistent, efficacious, and aesthetic method which can provide gains beyond the
negligible range, while retaining the aforementioned characteristics (in bold text). I've expressed this to our (the Community's) Sponsors who delve into penile head enlargement and its present dilemma, and I hope (and even believe) innovations and/or ground-breaking discoveries in this area will manifest themselves in the coming years (much like how general
Girth enhancement came to be).
I've also moved this topic to the appropriate sub-category.
