Hi everyone,
There’s been a lot of talk online lately about using
Botox for erectile dysfunction, but the terms get mixed together (
Bocox,
Grotox,
Bulltox, etc.) and they’re not all the same thing. Because we offer the functional, medical version of this treatment at
Rejuvall, we wanted to clarify what each term actually refers to, what’s cosmetic vs. what’s functional, and how our version (called
The Blue Pill Shot) is used to improve
Erection quality.
When we’re talking about
Botox for ED, we’re not treating the skin or the scrotum. The real medical procedure involves injecting botulinum toxin
into the erectile chambers (the corpora cavernosa), the structures that fill with blood during an
Erection. That’s why it has a functional effect. Bocox and Bulltox are informal marketing names for Botox used this way, to improve erectile function.
Grotox, on the other hand, is usually a cosmetic scrotal injection that has nothing to do with erections.
The goal of the real, functional version is simple: relax the smooth muscle inside the penis so blood can enter and stay there more easily. The best way to visualize this is with a balloon — if the neck of a balloon is too tight, you can force air in, but it takes a lot of effort and doesn’t stay inflated. Once that tension relaxes, the balloon fills naturally. Erectile tissue behaves the same way: when the smooth muscle is too “tense,” erections are weaker or inconsistent. When it relaxes, blood flow improves and rigidity increases.
That’s why this treatment appeals to men who can still get erections, but don’t like planning sex around Viagra or
Cialis, or who get side effects like headache, nausea, heartburn, or flushing. This isn’t a replacement for implants or surgery; it’s a
middle-ground option for men with ED caused by blood flow problems who want more spontaneity and better function without relying on pills.
At
Rejuvall, our version (
The Blue Pill Shot) is performed only by urologic healthcare providers and only after a thorough ED evaluation. We don’t inject the shaft skin or scrotum, and we don’t present it as a cosmetic shortcut. It’s a functional protocol for men who want stronger, more natural erections without being dependent on timing medication.
To set realistic expectations:
- It’s an in-office procedure, usually 30 minutes
- Numbing is used; most men describe it as pressure, not sharp pain
- There’s no downtime except avoiding sexual activity for 24 hrs
- Results build gradually over 2–3 injections, not instantly
- Typical duration is 3-6 months before most patients repeat it
- It works best for men whose ED is related to smooth-muscle tension and blood flow, not nerve damage
We’re posting this here because a lot of terms (
Bocox, Grotox, Bulltox) are getting lumped together, and only one of them is actually an erectile-function treatment. If it’s injected into the scrotum or the skin, it’s cosmetic. If it’s injected into the erectile chambers, it’s functional, and that’s the version we perform.
If anyone wants more details like how it compares to pills, what type of ED responds best, what the studies show, etc. feel free to reply here or DM me. Happy to answer questions and separate the real medical version of this treatment from the marketing noise!
