TOPIC: Had to start antibiotics

Had to start antibiotics 4 months 3 weeks ago #1308724590

This 3rd round recovery has been the WORST. At this point it’s day 10 of recovery

Bleeding when peeing went away but now a scab has formed over my urethra so it’s back a bit. I have to either pull really hard or use the back of thread needle to slightly reopen the slit every time because the urethra is like closed shut because of the scabbing. Not sure what caused the scabbing maybe the blood pooling?

Rupeka has started me on antibiotics and steroids today hopefully that will speed up the healing process. Has been a 2/10 wouldn’t not recommend so far.

Update.

Had to get a indwellimg Catheter placed emgerently, urethra totally closed off. Urologist says the tip looks necrotic. Not in a great mental space but trying to stay positive. Talking to Rupeka office and they say they’ve never seen this nerve (yaaaaayyyy).

So hopefully the necrotic part falls off or else I’ll need a debridment.

Will have the have the Catheter for the next week or 2. So no work for me. Y’all pray that everything turns out ok

Wishing you the best brother! Has the doctor given you any reason why this would happen?! As you said this is your 3rd round so what was different?

I'm really hoping the best outcome for you.

Thanks for sharing. Although some other users got an infection, although very rare, I remember one user had a chronic one with inflammation and said he has constant pain, this is the first time I've seen this.

@alias9 was the one that stuck out to me so I remembered just being careful when washing after the surgery. I didn't even let my penis hit the toilet until all the entry points had closed up. I would just take a piss standing up and if I did have to sit down I would wrap my penis with toilet paper and hold it out of the water.

I think I did read one report of a user saying they used bottled water to wash their penis while in Mexico. That seemed a bit extreme, but you had the procedure done in the US. Although the risk of infection is low, I definitely did that to minimize the risk of toilet water splashing on one of the entry points / injection sites.

Ugh sorry to hear about your infection bobbybrown229.

Realizing I never updated after my infection... It was not serious. My infection cleared fine after a week or so and my satisfaction rates are pretty high. I think my infection left a tiny minor scar but nothing serious. My current aesthetic outcome is very good and I'm planning to return for a minor touchup in a few months. If anything, I'm an example that an infection or some other cosmetic Urology risk that users fear doesn't have to be catastrophic at all.

Re: preventing infection... I can't say I did anything different than previous rounds without infection. My hunch is I worse bandage/wrap too long and sometimes at night to help maintain shape. I also believe I rolled a bit too much. But being honest, I was extremely cautious. There is a degree of risk to every round of injections obviously. I also did far more rounds than a typical user here (I'm well over 7.2 inches Girth) so of course each round/touchup increases risk.

What I can say is that while terrifying in the moment, my infection cleared quickly and did not meaningfully impact my health or aesthetic outcome. I barely slept for the week of the infection, but looking back, it was just a minor staph infection. I don't mean to minimize the situation of other forum members, but in my case, I definitely suffered more in my imagination than reality. The bottom line is that Avanti Derma was very helpful throughout the process (especially when I was stressed during the infection) and their work resulted in a very positive aesthetic outcome with freakish Girth. I'm returning to Avanti soon, so I think that should speak for itself.

Did you take antibiotics to prevent the infection and still get one? I know that a lot of offices prescribe 1 mandatory week of antibiotics. I‘m interested if that‘s the case everywhere.

@Abc123. Avanti has switched antibiotics. I don’t have the names in front of me but the former med called for a week of administration whereas the current med calls for just three pills (so your last dose is on recovery day 2). It’s supposedly stronger but I found that odd to switch to a shorter duration med when entry points stay open (generally) for several days to a week after procedure.

@bobbybrown229 wishing you peace and health! Hope everything gets back on track soon.
