TOPIC: Leonardo Medicine Round 1 12mL 8/1/2025

I measure and analyze because I’m an Engineer and it’s in my nature. I’m also wanting to leave a good record of Radiesse progress since there’s a definite dearth of them on the boards. It may help other people in the future who don’t want to post publicly and are looking for answers.

As I said, I suspect that the Radiesse is behaving like PMMA since they’re both collagen stimulators.

Also, I really appreciate your reviews on Dr Leonardo since they’re the ones that led me to consider him. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have made the trip.

Totally fair! As long as it isn't upsetting you. I just hate seeing some obsess and feel disappointed (regardless of product or practitioner) but if it's just your nature and background in an objective way then I get it.

And no problem, just have been upfront with my experience with him, great doc. Glad it worked out for you after going his way.

Day 12: There is indeed a Santa Claus. After four consecutive days of measuring at 5.25” MSEG, I noticed a change yesterday and measured at 5.375” Girth and then twice this morning at 5.5”. So either the HA took longer than normal to hydrate or the Radiesse does indeed act like PMMA with somewhat delayed collagenesis growth.
The wife and I did have very gentle sex while still at 5.25” and she seemed tighter and I came easier (always a problem for me). Still felt a little sore during, so not completely healed up. Wonder if it will continue growing a few more days, if I make it back to 5.75” post-op size, that’s really as far as I want to go for now and could save round 2 for next year after we both get used to it and need a top up.

Day 18: Seems to have stopped expanding. It’s been sitting at 5.625” (5 5/8”) for 4 days now so I’m very happy. Thanks again to Dr Leonardo. I’ve been out of town for the last week and can’t wait to get home for a proper break-in (past test run period).

Looks good and I appreciate your updates. I’m strongly considering Leonardo for a first procedure to see how it goes and if I would be interested in something permanent. Interested to hear how your retention is to see if it is worth the cost.

To follow up on a previous note, I’m continuing with my TRT shots and have found that placing an ice pack on the injection point for app 20 minutes eliminates any swelling and knotting up.

Since then, I switched to twice a week TRT in my delts (shoulder), no pain or soreness at all now. Definitely recommend.

@EngrMike any updates now that you are 5 or more weeks in? Any change in size? How is the texture? Any pain or negatives?

That's settled out great! I have found the more filler I have, the longer it seems to take to fully settle (or maybe hydrate).

Excellent aesthetics though. At this point he's the only one in Canada I'd ever use (I'm sure there's other great ones but he's so good with aesthetics). I've been very happy with his work and am more in maintenance mode now/small tweaks. I have to get some more hair loss prevention product from him soon so I may do a 5 ml add while I'm there (I'm also considering starting to slowly do the scrotum but I'm not sure how the longevity is there yet).

Hope you and your wife keep loving it! Are you planning more or satisfied?

I was going to say if you're running after the wife after the shot likely you're spacing the shots out by too much

Size varies around 5.5 to 5.6”, a little smaller than I was hoping for, but still nice. Texture is pretty good, looks very natural. Feels very normal Erect, not squishy like my previous subdermal HA. I would love to go back for round two, but the wife is still saying “not yet”.

@EngrMike thanks for the update. Very close to pulling the pin on this myself. Please continue to post updates on retention. Dr. Leonardo seems to have athletics dialed in, I just don’t want to spend that much if it will be largely gone in 6 months.

You could also be allergic to the carrier oil (Cotton seed oil) and need to change to a brand that uses MCT or grape seed oil as the carrier. The issue in Canada is that there are limited suppliers (prescription) .

I don’t seem to be allergic to it. It doesn’t hurt or get sore at all when injected into my delts, just when injected into quads. I use 27ga 5/8” insulin needles to inject, much smaller hole. Just takes awhile to draw dose into syringe with a small needle.
