TOPIC: PMMA on top of Ellanse

PMMA on top of Ellanse 1 month 1 week ago #1308720674

Has any one whose had Ellanse for a while (and saw a slight decrease) gotten PMMA on top of their Ellanse? Curious to see what thoughts are on this as Avanti says they can do this...

I’m 3 years into 2 and 3 year product and have lost zero size when fully hard.

I’ve thought about going PMMA as it’s cheeper and they have the one with less material in it for better smoothing, but so far I’m sticking with Ellanse.

Have you lost size?

I am not sure if I've lost a very little of size, seems as the density has slightly decreased if that makes sense. Slight dips here and there. I was thinking of a small Overall Even touch up. Which is why I was asking if I should stick with Ellanse or go the PMMA route. Part of me wants to just stick with the same product, but I am not sure as I'm not an expert. How do you like your Ellanse?

So here is my thought about silicone and then PMMA. First off silicone is not approved as a Dermal Filler at all by the FDA. Secondly, it should be strongly prohibited from use in penis. Silicone is a filler that spreads and migrates. Never does it become one with the body, rather the body is always trying to push it out.

PMMA on the other hand has been approved by FDA as a Dermal Filler. It is used off label as a filler in the penis. Now the big difference is the body encapsulates the microspheres, forming vascularization around them and essentially locking them in place, hopefully preventing migration.

Placing PMMA over silicone or within silicone is a very poor choice. This is because PMMA needs to be encapsulated, which if placed within silicone prevents that. The PMMA then incites an inflammatory reaction and in this situation a bunch of nodules.

With silicone, in time things would most likely have gone south. With PMMA, there is a much greater chance for integration and successful augmentation

Concerning use of PMMA after Ellanse…..well, they both stimulate collagen through inflammation and thus collagen deposition, however one is longterm semi perm and the other, we presume, is permanent. My feeling is, as Ellanse begins to wear down, the body will aggressively eat away at it by means of macrophages and phagocytes. This may cause more inflammation around the permanent PMMA. There may be a chance of Nodule formation because the two stimulatory fillers degrade at different rates.

Who knows.

I had very few nodules with CMC(i know...I know)....BUT the 3rd procedure was a PMMA mix and I had about 30 nodules and had to have it removed. Disaster all the way around. Huge regrets on PMMA and the surgery.

You had work performed by someone who can't provide you definitive proof, studies, or FDA approval of what was injected inside of you, regardless of whatever he might have indicated. To conflate this with the common PMMA injections discussed here on the forums is both irresponsible and shortsighted when you consider this to be a platform for information gathering & fact checking.

We are happy to help but please be mindful of how you describe your situation as it has nothing to do with ethical, regulatory-body approved dermal fillers.

I ask you desist from calling your filler PMMA, heck don't even call it silicone because we really don't know. Call it Loria's Proprietary bullsh*t, or an unregulated proprietary filler, respectfully.

Demonstrably successful iterations of PMMA like Linnea Safe and Bellafill need not be confused with your situation, and I understand your frustrations so I'm writing this as a courtesy reminder to be mindful of context and details -- I don't wish to suspend any account who genuinely needs help from this Forum, but I can't tolerate misinformation, even if unintentional. I know you mean well, but what you endured is far from the norm in terms of user experiences here.

I hope you have my understanding.
