Have any of you gone to a urologist for a botched Penile enhancement? 3 years 3 months ago #1308704687

Hey guys, I was a patient of Dr Loria and had posted before about my progress report.

Since then, my situation has slightly worsened. Idk how but I developed a varicocele that made it difficult to sit down followed by some prominent varicose veins on my scrotum but what really causes me concern now is that the the skin on the underside of my glans almost feels like its burning. However, there are no external issues or pain, there is just a varicose vein running along the underside and at the point where the pain is centered is a slight lump. Im not sure if I am remembering it correctly, but it almost feels like the pain i felt when i first had the procedure done. So now I am concerned the filler is moving or is being pushed by the vein that seems to have become more prominent. I was also warned that Loria uses silicone and that in rare cases, it may flare up and get rejected by the body (due to an infection) and will compromise the shaft skin so im naturally a bit worried about this.

I have an appointment with a Urologist for tomorrow for my varicocele but I think I need to bring up the pain I am feeling at my tip as well. However that would require me to come clean about the procedure or else he will just be extremely confused as to why the glans area looks so swollen and weird. A doctor who inspected once remarked that my penis looks very swollen and asked if its always been that way.

Anyway my question is, is a Urologist the best type of doctor for this issue? and should I just come clean with what the issue is? If so, I was wondering if anyone has done that and what urologists have told them. Have they recommended getting the filler removed? have they tried to help you minimize the damage in any way? have the confirmed whether having filler in your penis is safe or dangerous?

And has anyone in general faced pain on the underside of the glans where the urethra is from a silicone, HA, or PMMA filler?

Thanks for any advice.

Edit: now the tip is feeling numb. getting more concerned.

Tell the Dr. Everything. He (or she) can't help you with their hands tide behind there back. They may not have the answer for you as they have no experience with the product. However, they will have knowledge on the urological physiology and can help educate you to make an informed decision.

Hi Buckeye, thanks for the response. You're right its best to just come clean. I will tell him everything so he can at least help me confirm nothing life threatening is going on. Further googling has shown some Urology specialists that specifically deal with men who have injected silicone in their penises. I will try to follow up with them as well to see what can be done.

Initially I was thinking of just removing the lumps in penis but now that issue has surfaced, I think its time to try to remove all of it if they can. I was told in my earlier thread not to do that unless absolutely necessary because of how dangerous injected liquid silicone is but this flare up is going to inspire constant anxiety about future issues. Guess I should ask the specialist about that as well.

I agree with Buckeye about being completely transparent with your healthcare provider, it's in everyone's best interest to come clean so that a proper diagnosis can be made.

A Urologist would be the person to see, yes, but I'd also recommend seeing someone who has actually performed corrections on men with filler injections, including silicone... at the very least for a second opinion in the event your first doctor recommends anything drastic. Dr. Carney comes to mind, he works out of Atlanta and I'm fairly confident he's dealt with silicone filler issues before.

Either way, silicone in it of itself isn't a "sentencing" for your penis, and there are people with silicone that are okay, but this is a stark reminder to newcomers how essential it is to find ethical and experienced practitioners using either Hyaluronic Acid (HA) or dermal fillers like Radiesse, Ellanse, or PMMA, (no silicone) and that even going down this route isn't without risk.

I think you'll be okay, and if you have the time/budget, Dr. Carney is an option worth considering because you won't have to feel the need to "hide" any details and you'd be talking to someone who has dealt with your specific issue before. You have to remember that modern Phalloplasty is still relatively "new" and many healthcare providers might not have a clue what you did or how to go about treating complications, hence my recommendations. Good luck!

Thank Skeptical_One! I remember before you had given me some good information and assurance especially in regards to the low likelihood of complication if I managed to go years without any issues.

And right that's what I figured, I explained to my Urologist and he does not know the details of this stuff so he couldn't help me. he did diagnose my problem though and believes that the underside of my glans seems to have some kind of nerve damage (it was completely numb to the touch) so he prescribed me a medication that is usually used by diabetics who have suffered nerve damage. He said he isn't sure if it is related to the silicone. He also actually said that besides making my veins more prominent, it doesn't seem to be causing major issues which is always a relief to hear. Since then condition with my glans has actually gotten a lot better. His final recommendation is if I choose to pursue Removal, to ask in great detail about the after effects, especially scarring. he said i might not like what I see. I guess he means the process of removing the filler would involve removing surrounding flesh and causing further deformities?

I tried looking up Dr Carney and unfortunately not seeing much info on specifically treating this issue. Do you have any further sources I could look at to gauge his work?

While searching i did come across the New York Urologist Specialists. Not sure if you heard of them, but their website lists filler Removal as one of their specialties. Since I can drive over there within a day, I'm considering going to them for a consultation. Then from there if i can get more info on my situation, I can at least get additional context should I choose Dr Carney (plane tickets to Atlanta unfortunately aren't cheap) or go with the Urologist specialists. I think at the very least I want to remove the extremely noticeable lumps , some are even able to move a bit which is frightening. I also want to try to remove the filler inside the Foreskin as it looks disgusting and I am fairly convinced it plays a role in the numbness I am feeling.

But thanks so much for the info!

Dr. Carney works with Morganstern Urology (as well as their Rejuvall division which does male enhancement), and has performed a number of procedures for members of this forum. You can PM our Moderator @Texas who has seen the Doctor, or review reports found on this forum (as well as PMing other former patients). I also recommended them due to their proximity to you, but they'd likely be my first pick regardless, if I were facing potential complications from silicone.

Also, on the 2.0 site, our Moderator Miracle8x7 ( phalloboards.websitetoolbox.com/post/mir...-5391236?&trail=1245 ) had revision work done with Dr. Carney & Dr. Morganstern on complications stemming from Silikon1000 injections although he has not updated in a while. It wouldn't hurt to message him on the old site, hopefully he'll check his inbox from time to time.

I'm willing to wager the opinion of someone who's owned & operated a penis-enlargement forum for a decade might be the person whose recommendation is worth trusting - in other words, trust me :) I make no commission on referrals to my Sponsors and I often will also include non-sponsors for impartiality's sake. My recommendations are based on what I think will help you the most, based on your situation (i.e. location + silicone complications)
Here are some doctors, including non-sponsors, ranked in who I'd personally see if I were in your shoes:
Dr. Carney (and by extension, Dr. Morganstern; Georgia)
Dr. Solomon (Pennsylvania)
Dr. Alter (California)
Dr. Gelman (California)

Good luck.

Great list of Doctors, Skeptical One. I have spoken to most of these Doctors except for Dr Solomon. Regardless of previous Silicone experience I think Dr. Gelman is very impressive. Another Doctor I think is very talented is Dr Andrew Kramer in Maryland. He has removed PMMA which is no easy task.

you can see Carney through the Morganstern clinic; or see him direct as a Urology patient through the hospital.

at the very least i would do a physical, in person consult with a couple of your top choices.

For reference as to my recommendation, I became a Urology patient of Carney just to be safe for any future issues.
