question about a problem that's arisen post round 2 8 years 2 months ago #1293298697

alright phallobaords!

i\'ve just had my second round of PMMA with dr n more or less 90 minutes ago. i\'ll update it in my progress log in due course but i\'m on this new thread right now because there were a couple of problems and i just want to get a brain-storm from here about what procedure to follow. the main problem is that a vein has been i think popped and there is a mild bruise in my penis shaft. there was consequently some bleeding from the entry point for about half an hour afterwards. there was no bleeding in round 1. it seems to have stopped now. On the other hand it could just be a big bruise. I have emailed dr n to find out exaclty what happened/

obviously i dont want to freak out but i DO want to hang around PhalloBoards with like-minded bros and feel better. ive got my sugary cofee on the go too for total mood enhancement.

anyway ... ive got some antibiotics from dr n. shall i take them? what is the worst case scenario for me here and what is the likely scenario? how likely is infection and what will happen if i get infected? how common is this. dr n was very relaxed about it. she was like \'its ok, it happens.\' im going to see her Monday again.

please excuse the question dump. of course im going to trawl PhalloBoards myself for precedents but i wanted to put this up and see if anyone can throw some stuff out there.

cheers guys

also: is the guy who was also there today on PhalloBoards? holla!

I would recommend to definitely take the antibiotics. I\'m not a fan of antibiotics but after surgery it\'s best to take them.

Don\'t freak out. Wait until you hear what Dr N says on Monday. Even then don\'t freak out. As you know PMMA takes time to settle out. Plus you probably have a lot of swelling so there\'s not much to be done. Dr C recommends to massage it the first 72 hours or more. I think Dr N is the opposite.

thanks mate, appreciate that! good advice. dr n is sympathetic and was relaxed. im pretty relaxed. just chilling in my hotel room.

does anyone have any opinion about whether antiobiotics might effect badly the PMMA/ collagen production etc? just so you know: i have just taken my first one; im not intending to not take them. priorities are priorities. just wondered what the current thinking is on it if there is indeed any opinion.

edit: the antibiotic im using is azitromicina and via wikipedia \'It works by decreasing the production of protein, thus stopping bacterial growth.[2]\'

would that be a problem you think, decreasing protein production?

also: does anyone please have any ideas on taking a cilallis and massaging as i\'d planned? would bleeding start up again? would it interfere with the antibiotics? shall i take one or not? heads or tails?

cheers guys! im going to watch some crappy movies on the video on demand. (i mean hollywood stuff not what youre thinking LOL)

I doubt that it will negatively affect collagen growth. I\'ve never heard that it does. That said, antibiotics will mess up your gut flora, which I guess, could affect your collagen production.

It comes down to a cost/benefit analysis. Even if it temporarily affects your collagen production but protects against a major infection then it\'s worth it.

Finally both Dr N and Dr C recommend patients use antibiotics post surgery.

We each must decide on these things. I\'m taking them. Don\'t like them but I am.

Congrats on your round 2. I just had round 3 on Thursday.

Hey number22,

I just read your account. Very interesting. You\'ve had good results. Congrats.

What struck me was the difference between Dr N and Dr C. The big difference between the two that I noticed was my procedure took 2.5 hours. Dr C and Wade were like two artist checking and rechecking every piece of my penis. Going back to difference sections. They were not rushed. It was amazing the attention to detail those two go through during the surgery. Then after the surgery Wade and his assistant spent the last 30 min or so massaging and showing me where and how to massage.

The reason it\'s so amazing to me is both get good results. But their approaches are so different. It may be due to the fact that Dr C seems more willing to put more product into the penis so that requires a lot more work from both him and the patient. Dr C has his patients massage their penises. It\'s my understanding that Dr N does not.

interesting points that. dr c spends ages! thats brilliant.

just want to say that im still bleeding a little bit, that blood is still kind of seeping out. i think its just started up again as opposed to been continually bleeding. anyway, ive suddenly come over a bit worried i have to say. this despite knowing if i remember that a fair few members here have had bleeding for a while after. so i just thought i\'d come back here and ask for a few opinions on this.

also please about the bruising on my Dick from the likely popped vein. how significant a thing is this? has it happened to anyone before?

edit: also cheers guys but any idea on if PMMA is coming out with the blood?

thanks guys.

alright gents, so this is a lesson for anyone wanting to do PMMA. youre Dick will bruise and parts may turn black. dont panic, it\'s normal. i didnt get a vein popped, just bruising. everyone gets bruising: ive been reading PhalloBoards. i did know this already of course, ive read all the progress reports on here already, but there it is: when it happens to you, it can get you a bit alarmed. it was the bleeding too which kind of made me worried but the bleeding started up again because (i think) i was massaging: i probably should have just kept rested. basically, i needed a good night\'s sleep.
