I am actually glad you asked this smalljay. I have been meaning to ask the same thing. My appointment is Wednesday and I have been wondering about the importance of wearing an extender for post op care. I have an ESL40 as well and planned on wearing it during the trip home at minimum(it\'s about a 3 1/2 hour flight).
I am also a little concerned with using the ESL40 because I have to roll it down almost all the way to the circ scar to keep it on. Otherwise it ends up pulling off, or causes a pretty uncomfortable suction bulge right on the tip of the gland. I have considered trimming it some so that it doesn\'t roll down as far when I place the gland all the way inside as so to avoid the suction blisters. But don\'t know how well (or badly) that will work.
I have a Jes Extender as well. But it is pretty uncomfortable. Chokes off the blood supply to the gland if you wear it for any length of time. And wouldn\'t fair very well going through airport security
