TOPIC: Dr. Solomon Penile Lengthening Surgery

Dr. Solomon Penile Lengthening Surgery 9 years 10 months ago #1285406908

Hey there, total newbie to the forum and just wanted to introduce myself and give a breakdown of my experiences in the penile augmentation world. I had actually originally had a lengthening procedure done in 2009 in California. Due to my employment and unforeseen work related circumstances I was unable to do the required post-op care and went from my original 6.9\" Erect length to 5.9\" after over 3 months. This was at no fault of the surgeon; it was the utter lack of privacy I had for those 3 months making it impossible for me to do the required care without everyone and their mother finding out. They had placed a medical spacing device to lower the chances of ligament reconnection that would cause retraction, this actually became a major issue with the internal scarring surrounding it and became the major influence on the penile retraction.

A few months ago I contacted Dr. Solomon and his office to inquire on the pros and cons of going in to do a corrective surgery. They were extremely professional and upfront about their concerns, citing that if I were to be unable to follow the post-op care this time around I could be looking at more dire circumstances. I went through with the surgery knowing the dangers. That being said, he and his assistant Jen were extremely cordial and professional. During my stay in Philadelphia, Dr. Solomon gave me a ride from his office to the hotel I was staying at, not a lot of doctors I\'ve known over the years are willing to do that. At no point did they fill my head with unfathomable expectations; if anything they showed more concern for it being the second surgery and my personal commitment to post op care than the regaining of my length and the possibility of going for my original goals.

At this time, I\'m currently still in overall recovery, being a second surgery the recovery time will be longer mostly due to the large amounts of scarring that had to be corrected. At the moment I\'m unable to gain a full Erection, most I\'d say is about 80% of an Erection and unable to maintain for long periods but it has been getting better; Dr. Solomon stated that this isn\'t unheard of and I should be back to normal within a couple months. As of now I\'m taking Flaccid unstretched and stretched measurements.

Current measurements (after about 3 months of steady Hanging)
Flaccid NBP 4.25\"
Flaccid BP 4.7\"
Flaccid NBP Stretch 6.4\"
Flaccid BP Stretch 6.8\"
Mid-shaft Flaccid Girth of 4\"

(Updated once I got a little better idea of the different measurement techniques used.)

Routine is 5-8lbs of weight on vac hang twice a day for 45 minutes and a weight attachment sleeve with 1-2lbs of pressure I wear for 6-10 hours a day.

Once I regain the ability to have full erections I will update with Erect numbers.

I should also mention, my future plan is to get both a scrotal tuck (turkey neck reduction) and Girth enhancement done, I\'ve been looking and so far PMMA is the most appealing but I will continue to look at options.

How much was your procedure with Dr Solomon if you don\'t mind me asking?

I actually think Dr Solomons widening procedure is interesting. In theory it should be a lot safer than the full wrap he performs.

The lengthening was about $6,700; I was opted a few discounts, but I do believe my surgery cost was a bit more than a standard lengthening augmentation due to the scar tissue Removal.

Greetings dared3vil! Thanks for sharing with us your journey, as you may (or may not) know, reports of lengthening surgery are far & few, so every new experience is an invaluable contribution!

I do recall the idea of a \"spacer\" being employed to prevent retraction, it seems like in your case it did more harm than good. Who was the physician who performed your original procedure and do they still promote the spacer, if you don\'t mind me asking?

As scary as it is, my surgeon was Dr. Knight, who was overseen by Dr. Rheinschild... years later I\'ve read all the horror stories caused by these two and count myself lucky. At the time I had found few implications of any reason for concern going with Dr. Rheinschild; after I tried to contact them a few months after the surgery and couldn\'t get ahold of anyone I started digging and started seeing signs of what would ultimately come to light in 2010 and on. As I\'ve read it Dr. Rheinschild has passed and Dr. Knight, who I believe was his successor, had lost his medical license.

As I remember, I asked a doctor that is still using a \"spacer\" to prevent retraction.

When I asked him what is it the spacer he told me that is a kind of device from fat tissue that the doctor need to put inside the area of the ligaments to prevent them from attaching again.

Is there is other method better than spacer?

Is it permanent or after some time it will absorb to the body?

The one they put into me was a medical grade plastic, no absorption qualities so I can\'t help you with those questions unfortunately. I will say that if they do offer the medical grade plastic option I would opt out of it. Hand stretching as per the doctors orders until you can comfortably and safely hang/stretch with a device should be adequate. If you have any scarring issues that plastic device can be come immensely uncomfortable and very noticeable to the touch.
