30 Day Update:

So, it\'s been a month since my procedure, and I wanted to give everyone an update with several pics. I have to say that my story is very similar to HunkChunk\'s \"The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly\" progress report, except mine all happened with the first procedure.

The Good:

Overall I\'ve gained 1.25\" at the base, almost 1.75\" at the mid-section, and 1\" behind the glands. Obviously, I couldn\'t be any more ecstatic about the gains.

The Bad:

After 14 days my Dick looked amazing. It looked perfect, as you can see in the 1st pic. It was around 5.25\", and had a perfect taper. At this point I felt like I was done, and wouldn\'t need another round. It looked and felt completely natural. Then the collagen started forming.

The Ugly:

At around day 21 the mid-section started swelling up, and a very pronounced ridge formed right above the circ scar. It not only looked deformed, but it felt so unnatural. You can completely feel the PMMA. It\'s incredibly obvious. One thing I want to clarify though is that this was in no way Dr. C\'s fault. I basically didn\'t do any aftercare, and the final result was pretty much the exact way it looked after 24 hours. I can\'t stress enough to do proper aftercare. Keep it hard and/or stretched as much as possible, and massage the clumps. The circ ridge and the mid-section build up was a result of me not keeping it stretched, and letting it clump up in those areas.

So my 2nd round will be for aesthetics only. I will be having them fill in the base, break up the mid-section, and circ ridge with cannulas. I don\'t want it any bigger than 5.75\".

I\'ve attached pictures. Again, the 1st one is day 14. All the other ones were taken today. The next to the last one was stretched out soft, so you can see the irregularities pretty easily. The last one was the toilet paper roll test, so you can compare the size with my initial post.

You have amazing gains--congrats! The comparison pics using the toilet paper roll really drive it home. It\'s interesting that everyone recently has been seeing significant results, especially compared with those who were in a stretch of no or minimal gains a few months back. It\'s like Avanti had a really crummy batch of PMMA and now suddenly has an all-star batch . . . and all Metacrill. Will be interesting to see what happens when Linnea Safe gets rotated into the mix.

I also have to say, I think your experience underscores how growers must be especially careful with PMMA. I just reread your log and noted how you said your size concerns were exacerbated by the fact that you were also small when soft. I guess I read that to mean you are a Grower, which also seems consistent with the Flaccid pics you\'ve posted both pre- and post-PMMA. In that first pic you posted 24 hrs afterwards, it looked like it was tightening up, as growers are wont to do, and perhaps compressing some of the PMMA in certain areas that, as you note, seem close to where it ultimately settled.

I\'m also a Grower, and will have a VERY low tolerance for aesthetic issues, so I\'ve been thinking about how to minimize the risks as I Inch closer towards pulling the trigger (which I also have admitted to myself is inevitable). I think that in addition to Cialis/viagra, people could also consider adding benzos into the mix--whenever I\'m on ativan or xanax, my Dick is significantly relaxed. Another option would be an old fashioned anti-depressant from the \'60s called trazodone, which always causes my Dick to be significantly more relaxed (and which actually comes with a small risk of Priapism, though the mechanism by which trazodone causes Priapism is unclear, I think).

One question I have is that you said the PMMA is very noticeable. This is also a concern of mine. Do you think it\'s just noticeable where it clumped ever so slightly (I think you\'re being too hard on your results too, btw, especially in light of how we\'ve seen people\'s results smooth out over time), and thus sticks out ever so slightly from the rest of your unit? Or does it seem noticeable to you even where it settled more uniformly? It seems people have different opinions on how noticeable it is. If any of the gay guys on here are ever passing through NYC and would be willing to let a fellow gay guy see how it feels, I would to feel a PMMA penis before putting it in myself. Nice bottle of booze in return? Haha, maybe when I make my appointment I should tell Wade that it\'s one of my requirements for going through, and that I\'d be willing to pay an extra charge. But straight guys can be so touchy about another guy touching their junk (which to be fair, is totally reasonable if it isn\'t something you\'re used to!).

To me it feels very unnatural. The mid-section area feels like a hard lump of tissue, and the circ ridge feels like a Cock ring was implanted there. It\'s my understanding these issues can be corrected.

You have to understand that I went into this with the best intentions. I had read 90% of the progress reports, and was planning on waking up every 2 hours, massaging it, and trying to keep it hard most of the time. Well, after being traumatized by 2 guys pulling on, and stabbing my Dick with a needle for almost 2 hours, I didn\'t even want to touch it. I also felt quite a bit of pain. I finally took a couple of Advil the next morning, and it was fine after that. I could tell that Wade was a bit disappointed in how it looked the next day, and asked me why I hadn\'t been massaging it.

I don\'t believe that the PMMA can be manipulated after 24 hours. I know many people on here say different, but as soon as I got home (which was around 36 hours post procedure) I massaged the hell out of it trying to reduce the areas that the PMMA migrated to. Did it help? Yes, for the short term, I could manipulate it, but as soon as the collagen grew, it looked EXACTLY like it did when I woke up the next day following the procedure.

Unfortunately, I haven\'t had a chance to try it out, so I don\'t know if it will be noticeable to women, but I would imagine a gay guy would notice it immediately (notice mine that is). I think it\'s very important to buy a stretching device, and wear that post procedure. I wish I had bought the one Wade was offering, or I really wish I had purchased a silicon sleeve to keep things uniform.

I take your point that it\'s hard to keep best practices after what is a fairly intense event (and I\'m sorry to hear it for ya). And interesting--\"like a Cock ring was implanted there\"--that\'s a simile that certainly catches one\'s attention . . .

I obviously haven\'t had it yet so I\'m just mouthing off here, essentially, but it does seem that many people who felt hardness at first saw that dissipate over time into something more natural feeling. And, as with everyone who posts such detailed accounts, this board is in your debt.

I know that it\'s probsbly still not in its final form. I was planning on doing my 2nd round as soon as 6 weeks, but now I\'m going to wait at least 3 months to see how it changes.

I\'m pretty upset your aftercare was piss poor.

There\'s no one to blame but yourself. I don\'t know how many times we (vets) have told everyone to stay on top of your aftercare. You have had great gains but that\'s the end of the positives.

I don\'t mean to sound like an asshole. But the fact remains that I had the same procedure you did and went through the same pain, yet I massaged my extremely sore penis.

That\'s the point guys, you want results you have to work at them.

Yeah, no one is more upset at myself than me. One thing I wanted to make clear to anyone considering this, and reading my progress reports, is to do everything you can immediately following your procedure. I was under the impression that as long as I \"got to it\" within 48 hours that I would could still manipulate it into shape. While this may be true for some people, it certainly wasn\'t true in my case, and my results very closely resembled how it looked the next morning.

So, to any of the new guys, keep it hard and/or stretched out as much as possible. Start the aftercare and massage as soon as possible. Don\'t be afraid to take a couple of ibuprofens if you\'re in pain. Don\'t be afraid to use a silicon sleeve, especially if you have a long flight the next day. I guess that\'s my advice.
