TOPIC: Concerned with scarring at the entry points

Concerned with scarring at the entry points 12 years 1 month ago #1275482528

Hello everyone,

I am very new to this forum and very amazed with all your stories. I literally jumped in happiness when I discovered this possibility (PMMA).

However I have a fear: I am prone to keloids and have very bad scarring. I know theres no way a injection would result in a scar but as far as I know the entry points for the cannula are much \"wider\" than just a plain injection.

Has anyone had problems with bad scarring or keloids at the entry points?

Greetings, welcome to the forum. Pardon my bluntness, but if you are anything near what your username suggests (a massive 8 incher), strongly consider dumping the idea of surgical penis enlargement altogether.

As for your question, I experienced some palpable bumps at the injection sites near the base of my penis after Round 1. They weren\'t visible but I could certainly tell they were there. I only assume it was scarring since I\'m not sure what else it could have been, and they were small hard bumps. Wade & Dr. C told me that they would lessen in time, and sure enough they did. Now I can\'t feel them at all. Also, they did not reoccur after Rounds 2 & 3, not sure why.

However, if you have issues with scarring, you may have a totally different outcome. Your best bet would be to consult with both Dr. C as well as your primary care physician. If you are anything on the large side, you may want to reconsider, as none of this stuff (even the popular trending PMMA) is free from complication & risk.

Good luck.

It\'s very unlikely you\'d develop a keloid as the shaft skin is so thin. There have been reports of keloids from circumcisions, but these again are very, very rare and involve a large incision (3\" plus in most cases). African Americans are more prone to keloids, yet most are Circumcised and as I\'ve already said, these virtually never result in keloids.

Even so, as a keloid sufferer myself, I believe prevention is the best way of avoiding them. I keep all incisions taped until they are healed and Sutures removed. I then wear silicone gel sheets for at 12 weeks post op. By doing this I\'ve never developed a keloid.

In your case I wouldn\'t bother doing anything as it would be amazing if you got a keloid due to the cannula hole, but if you want to be sure, just keep it taped for a week or so and then starting wearing silicone sheets.

thank you very much Hoddle! Did you do the PMMA procedure? I know that the shaft skin is very thin but the entry points are in the base where the skin is normal...

I will do everything I can to prevent them, maybe even Kenalog shots right after the procedure..?

Don\'t get a Kenalog shot. Just tape it and later apply the silicone sheets. If after a few weeks you see the signs of a keloid, which I very much doubt, then consider a Kenalog shot.

Where have you had keloids before and what caused them? Do you have any piercings?
