lol all these years I am here and can still surprise you! I am curious if HunkyDory has run into this too, but it\'s pretty much just a known thing for guys I come across & people I am friends with (like the \"my ruler starts at 8\" guy... of course a bottom, and incredibly promiscuous)

It does make me laugh because so many things in the gay world make no sense. (Also, the obsession with masculinity when most gay guys are feminine is another mess we have to deal with.)

OK - so why is this? There are a few reasons.

Half of it is cognitive. Bottoms are often just total dick-obsessed pigs. They will go through 5 guys in a night if they can. (I am talking about extremes here, but they all are very dick-focused vs. being ass-focused). They use tops like dildos and just need more and more and more. It\'s largely a mental thing. They won\'t get turned on by smaller dicks in the same way tops won\'t get turned on by flat asses (even though the latter one doesn\'t hurt). That being said, it doesn\'t hurt as much for them because they get fucked so much, and they know how to relax and they get stretched out. If they can\'t relax, they use poppers (Video head cleaner - I think it\'s illegal in the UK but you can get it anywhere here). This relaxes the muscle and gives you a rush, and it can also kill you if you mix it with viagra (seriously - it\'s very unsafe).

Next, some of it has to do w/ the prostate, though I think guys are getting this wrong. A dick that curves up combined with certain positions will hit the prostate. Some giant dick isn\'t going to hit it more directly, though maybe it will stretch the area more and this stimulates the prostate.. the thing about anal is that it is a mix of pleasure and pain, and the pain tends to subside. Women don\'t get as much pleasure as men, because they do not have a prostate. Some men have very sensitive prostates (and can cum if you just use a finger back there). So, the dick rubbing and stretching that out is a big deal, I guess.

Finally, if they get with a guy who is \"too small\", and this is a slutty bottom who has been with a lot of men, it will be the same issue as being with a stretched out woman. And some guys are just naturally looser back there (and they know it) and you need to have a bigger dick...or neither party is going to really feel much. They have anal rejuvenation surgeries and lasers now too, btw... but it\'s rare that anyone does this. It\'s much more proven for the vagina than the anus. Gay guys don\'t want to admit it, but after many years of too much anal, bad things happen... but bottoms are in denial about this.

I do know 1 who had to have surgery back there - and actually this was because the other guy was too big.

Does it make more sense now? It doesn\'t even make sense to me, honestly. I cannot handle guys who are that big... but I think I am more sensitive to pain. This is also why I thought going over 5.5 wasn\'t necessary since that was enormous (to me). My goal was basically 5.25.

LOL, this is the funniest topic. Restoration and I have had really different sexual experiences. I almost don\'t recognize what he is talking about. Yeah, it sounds like we have different experiences for sure. I think a lot of stuff might have changed in the online era, possibly. Not only do dating profiles make it easier to pick exactly what you want, you have the ability to send / receive a Dick pic from anyone. So, if you are a size queen, why not keep holding out until you get a guy with a big Dick? It has definitely happened to me...you send a Dick pic (and even my bigger ones aren\'t enough) and the guy goes silent. If you refuse to send one, they won\'t continue talking to you. The apps like grindr have changed the way people are about a lot of things. They can easily move on to one of the next 100 people on their screen if you don\'t measure up in every way. On top of that, there\'s so much available porn now, I think it just changes what people believe is available and what they want...I think.

I read on some websites and stuff that the average is actually like 5-6 inches, which makes me wonder what was the doctor basing his average on? I\'m assuming it would be the Kinsey survey or something. But honestly i have no idea if I\'m a little below average or well below average, because being a doctor/Urologist I\'d assume he\'d know the truth. But other urologists on TV have said the average is 5 Inch. My doc was also saying stuff like i was close to being micropenis, which recently i have heard in many cases i\'ve heard is for those with Erect penis less than like 3 Inch not 5 Inch. but i don\'t know.

My point is this, i feel terrible all the time now because of the surgery, because im the same size but before hand i was just \"me\" all natural and stuff, now i feel selfish, fake and live in fear that people will find out. it sucks. BTW i know that many people on this site have a smaller penis than me and would love to be in my position, i just thought my experience could benefit others.

As i was young at the time i was very impressionable by his words and they have had a large impact on me to this day (i have had zero sexual experiences because its like \'I\'m medically wrong\' or something). My point is this I largely wish i didn\'t have the surgery, or had spent more time considering things and got a second opinion or tried to find out more accuratly what the average size was.
