MGB - Dude I\'ll echo how much that sucks! I agree. They totally dropped the ball here. Did they give any reasoning? or just \"Dr. C is away?\"
Seems odd that a doctor would book procedures in a time slot that they end up having to be \"away\" from the office in.
For my last round, all correspondence was done with Wade beforehand and come procedure day he wasn\'t there (Mel filled Wade\'s role in the procedure, positioning things and what not). The next day someone else on the board had a PMMA round done and talked about Wade being so nice / awesome. Mind you, not having Wade do it isn\'t the same as not being able to have a round at all, but Wade has a certain knack for detail and way about working the PMMA after Dr. C puts it in that I did miss (Mel is nice but very much a quiet guy who let Dr. C do all the thinking).
Definitely a bummer though man. I\'d try to charge back the card, is there anything in the card\'s fine print about cancellation insurance on travel costs? I know my very basic travel visa with TD has free travel insurance... but I doubt it covers cancellations
The airline might be able to give you \"credit towards your next trip\"... I\'ve done that before.
Undecided - They have used LinneaSafe lots in the past (as its original name New Plastic, and I believe for a short while under its new name). I\'ve personally had New Plastic and Metacril and don\'t really see much of a difference as far as \"quality\" or gains go... Keep in mind I believe Dr. N from the start has only used 30% Metacril while all the below has happened with the PMMA buzz and member group-think attributing to it.
To be honest the forum here can be a little crazy at times when it comes to over-thinking PMMA... At first 20% NewPlastic was all Dr. C used. Then he saw some good results with only 10% so the board jumped on it saying 10% was best. Then people complained of no gains on 10% so he went back to 20% but also started using some 30% Metacril (I remember members even asking for Metacril thinking it must be better).
Since some members were getting 30% and thought it provided better gains people started complaining that 20%, because it is a mix of 10% and 30% in-house, was likely the cause of lumps and complications and they demanded he use 30%... then people started complaining that 30% actually caused more complications. Then some members demanded they get 20% again.
Then all the sudden some people started seeing very little gains with 30% so they blamed the fact it was Metacril. I know you expected a big excitement over this announcement, but anyone who has been around here long enough would know that this is simply the latest PMMA Group-think.
