Hi olafspo what you have now is asymmetry of the new collagen formation and it is neither an infection nor Foreign Body Granulomas, so it is purely aesthetic issues which can be (in the next rds) either camouflaged (by injecting the rest of the shaft with
PMMA in the 2nd rd alone to even the whole shaft) or with injecting these lumps with
Kenalog.
These lumps or the correct name for it in your case is diffuse thickening of the new collagen in a localized area due to clumping of the beads at this area more than the rest of the shaft, if you compare these recent pic.\'s with the early ones directly after the injection :-
1- You had more swelling or bulging exactly at this area more than the rest of your shaft in the early days post-injection (I remember we talked about massaging this area and wrapping your penis but with more pressure at this area esp. after you told me there was some firmness underneath it) .
2- Their location close to the entry holes (where you can have usually more clumping of the beads).
3- In the pic. where you squeezed the 3 lumps with your fingers ---> the shape of the lumps show exactly a thickened firm collagen.
N.B. If the
Kenalog injection is going to be used it should be started 4-6 wks after the beginning of the problem and with same intervals if it needs to be repeated and never delay the 1st injection later than 6 months because after that the scar formation (i.e. the new collagen) will be well-formed and the
Kenalog injection by this time will have v. low effect.
I wouldn\'t worry about it at the moment what you have now is asymmetry of the new collagen formation after the 1st rd so it is still early and nothing serious, wait until you see your doctor in the next rd and let her decide (she can improve the aesthetic look).
So to avoid these issues in the future is by massaging and squeezing any irregularities or swellings (esp. if it was a bit firm underneath it) as early as possible and wrapping your penis with more pressure at this area (e.g. a piece of cotton or a medical sponge only over the localized swelling plus wrapping the whole shaft) esp. during sleep and in the 1st 24-48 hrs.
