Hi Everyone,
I am planning tentatively on getting fatpad liposuction done sometime in February of next year. Before I get the procedure done, however, I want to make sure I am in the range of 8 percent body fat. My goal is to really maximize my NBPEL, as I usually hover around 4.4 inches. Specifically, I want to hit 4.5 inches by dieting and exercising down to 8 percent, and then get the lipo to come close to 4.7. I will then stretch, hang, and do whatever it takes to (hopefully) get to 5 NBPEL.
After that, I will strongly consider PMMA, though I may wait just to see how our fellow brothers and pioneers are doing after some time.
This log will document my journey to get to 8 percent body fat, and my experiences with the procedure thereafter.
Five weeks ago, on the old forum, I wrote that I was at 22 percent body fat (I was at 26 percent in October of last year). I am pleased to say that I measure in now at 19.5 percent -- a drop of 2.5 percent in 5 weeks.
I am discouraged that stretching has not yielded results, as I have been very vigilant, stretching from 30-60 minutes a day, roughly five times a week. I am still hovering around 4.4 NBPEL.
My ideal goal is to have a 5.5 NBPEL by 5.5 Girth throughout, though I will settle for 5 x 5.5.

@ skatezy

If you want any diet/training advice just ping me. Been in strength and fighting sports all my life and have helped several people with nutrition and training. I myself hover between 8-11% and go to 6% when I want to be a show off. Whatever you do good luck!!

Thanks for the offer. I will definitely PM you when I have questions. That\'s amazing when you got to 6 percent, you must have been incredibly ripped.
@EP
I will keep you posted for sure. Like I said, I will consider getting to 5 NBPEL my own personal success, so it\'s time to get moving! It must\'ve been awesome being an NCAA athlete...

I just wanted to update this log, because I was chatting with someone (forgot who) who asked me how my diet and exercising was coming along.
I\'m pleased to report that I have slowly but surely been dropping the fat and also building muscle. I believe that I will be around 7 percent body fat (or lower) by March of 2012, given my current progress.
At that time, I will most likely have suprapubic liposuction to strip away whatever fat is left just to get some extra NBPEL.
I have to admit, though, that though the dieting has been difficult I think I have found a way that works for me. I know it\'s probably not a good idea for a weight loss mechanism, but for my third meal of the day (usually around 3PM) I eat two Taco Bell tacos. Two crunchy tacos are 340 calories, and then I eat clean the rest of the day. In effect, I am giving myself a cheat meal every day, but limiting the caloric intake of that cheat. Like I said, I know it\'s not the best method, but it has been working for me. Before, when I would try to eat clean all the time, I would just break down every fourth or fifth day and absolutely pig out -- like having a whole pizza from Papa Johns, for example, which totally screws up your calories and spikes your insulin. I also limit my daily caloric intake to anywhere from 1800-2400 calories depending on whether I am lifting that day.
My protein intake is around 100-120 g per day. I know it could be higher, but protein shakes/bars are expensive (at least the kinds that I like). I love Muscle Milk, for example, but it is 3 dollars per bottle, and I feel like I need two of them for a meal, and my current budget is (trying to) limit myself to 8 dollars per day -- one of the reasons Taco Bell works so well =)
I want to be clear that I am not advocating this method for other people. I would advise to eat 6 meals a day, clean, with maybe a cheat once a week to keep the leptin levels in check. I know that the tacos spike my insulin level and have a higher glycemic load, but I just found that eating in moderation beats eating spartanly perfect and then saying \"fuck it I\'m going to eat potato chips and Cheezits all night\".
I have a feeling that when I hit ten percent or so, I\'ll probably have to eat insanely clean to drop lower. I am finding that much of the weight loss is about nutrition.

I am also working on fat pad reduction via diet & exercise, and will definitely consider lipo in that area should the fat remain stubborn. We\'ve spoken about this before, and I\'ll be looking forward to seeing how this all works out for you.
As for not obtaining any length via manual PE exercises, have you thought about changing it up some? Not just technique, but frequency too. Perhaps you are spending way too much time on it (??). I know there are theories abound in the realm of manual PE exercises, so what I\'m about to suggest has little evidence other than the musings of experienced stretchers from other PE sites: gains are hindered when we either do too much or too little in our pursuit of length. we must find a middle ground, so maybe you going at it 5 times a week could be toned down? Just some ideas, I\'m from around your length range so I know where your starting from and where you\'re trying to go.
I\'m hoping that with a combination of fat pad reduction and length gains that I could ultimately obtain 6\" BPEL but I\'d be content with any gains, even if just from the fat pad reduction.
Good luck buddy!

skatezy, I get my protien from sams club. EAS is $27 for 72 servings @22grams of protien each. THey also sell the muscle milk there. The protein only(not meal replacement) is $30 for 72 servings @20grams of protein each. Maybe look into buying in bulk from some online sites. They ususally have good deals too. Buying by the bottle will your wallet very quickly.

@SO
In regards to excessive stretching, I had dialed it down considerably by espousing the \"less is more\" philosophy. Unfortunately, that didn\'t lead to gains, which is why I went into turbocharged mode, stretching like a fanatic. I also tried a moderate stretching routine with no success. I\'m not really sure what to do next. I think that with ulis I really feel the stretch, so I am going to concentrate on doing those intensively for the next few months and see where I\'m at. Hanging and an ADS are also on the horizon, but I really want to make sure I\'ve thoroughly exhausted manual stretching before experimenting with more advanced exercises and devices.
@beta
Thanks for the suggestion. Are those muscle milks that you buy in bulk in bottle form? I\'ve only been able to find them in a cardboard-ish package. I will check into buying bulk online and at Sam\'s club-- those are both good suggestions so thanks!

I would definitely consider getting an ADS and stretching for 4+ hours per day. I\'ve been using the SizeGenetics extender for 1 month now 4-6 hours per day and I\'ve added 3/4\" of flacid length and 1/4\" Erect length. mattersofsize.com has a nice discount on the extender, plus great threads on wrapping and modifications for long comfortable stretch sessions. I wear it in class and while I do homework, doesn\'t take any extra time out of my day. Good luck on your quest for better health!

skatezy they have MuscleMilk powdered protein and they also sell the meal replacements in 12 packs. I don\'t know if it\'s bottle or paper box. THey definitely have EAS meal replacements in the box form.

I only take the protein shakes and add frozen fruit(also from sams) and take a 1 a day(also from sams, lol). Probably comes to around $1 per serving for the protein shake w/fruit. Don\'t know the price on the meal replacements.

Hi Everyone,
Update time: I am now at 15 percent body fat, which I think is pretty good. I feel that 8 percent is my target goal before getting the lipo done. Before I was eating fast food and watching my caloric intake, but I soon ran into a wall with this. I then reworked my diet, focusing on eating healthy, and it really has made a considerable difference.
The foods that comprise my diet now are eggs, black beans, veggie sausage links, chicken, milk, and protein shakes/bars.
Also, I have dialed down cardio in lieu of weightlifting. I only do cardio 30 minutes on the elliptical 2-3 times a week, but lift 4-5 times per week. I have upped my protein intake to about 200g per day, getting at least 30g per meal. I have noticed that I have put on a lot more muscle as well.
In short, I think diet is probably the most important component for losing weight, followed by resistance training, followed by cardio. That has just been my experience, though.

Hi EP,
I take a multivitamin every day, and creatine about 1/2 hour before I lift. Do you have any other suggestions? I was thinking about getting omega-3 supplements as well to balance omega-6s.
