James/Jamshid Elist's Penuma implant is a WASTE of money. 5 years 11 months ago #1307189916

Hey all:

About a year ago, I flew all the way from Indiana to California to get the Penuma procedure. I know that, at this point, some of you are not sympathetic towards those of us who were fooled by Jamshid Elist (his real name registered with Medical Board of California). However, please hear me out.

I read in GQ:
The procedure has a 95 percent success rate, according to a five-year clinical study Elist commissioned and presented at an industry conference.

In hindsight, I should have asked the surgery scheduler Cole to email me this so-called clinical study. However, I was so excited about the penile enlargement that I did not do enough research. I only checked out his yelp and Facebook reviews. He also has high ratings on Vitals. I was fooled by mostly positive reviews.

In the end, I had to get it removed because of complications. Even though the procedure itself was $15,000, I spent even more money on the hotel fees and airline fares.

He can just go to hell. I hope that Medical Board of CA goes after him and shuts down his practice for good! I should have just accepted my penis size/girth and not pursued this. I feel great that Medical Board of CA is finally doing something; check out this document ?

James/Jamshid Elist's Penuma implant is a WASTE of money. 5 years 11 months ago #1307190018

Jamshid Elist claimed that the texture of the Penuma implant would be very soft, and that\'s total BS. Even when I was supposedly Flaccid, it was painfully obvious that I had some implant. The texture was much harder than I expected, and it did not feel natural at all. There\'s disgusting scar near the incision line (where he inserted the implant), and there\'s also the scar for that painful drain. I\'m \"lucky\" that I have thick pubes. If I still have the implant today, any woman can tell that I had something done. I REGRET wasting my money on the Penuma implant!

If any woman has a problem with my size, screw her. I will try to find a new chick or just get used to being alone. Sometimes, I still feel \"inadequate.\" Nonetheless, it\'s not as bad as before. I simply cannot take another risk like Penuma.

IndianapolisGuy--
Do not feel bad about making this mistake with Dr. Elist. Many of us did for all the reasons you stated. The article in GQ, FDA approved etc. Plus Doctor Elist and his assistants selling the procedure as something we now know it isn\'t. It was the biggest mistake of my life. You seem to have fared better than many of us. I personally did not have complications and waited 6 months or so to have it out. But I sure had problems.
I have the same problems with my penis after I had it taken out as I did when it was in. I have had it out 3 years now.
Currently some of my issues which are probably permanent are
-Shorter penis
-complete numbness where his dildo was inserted
-crooked when it was perfectly straight before
-although promised a one Inch scar I have much more than that.
All of this has changed my sex life completely. I have stated those issues on it before on this forum and just can not go over it again.
You sound like you were a lot luckier that myself but, I hope you take the time to add a complaint to the California medical board as well.
Thanks for sharing and good luck.

I was looking into Dr. Elist and glad I did not go that way.
I had a procedure done by Dr. Loria out of Miami.
So far everything is great. I was 3.5 inches Girth Flaccid and now I am 5 inches Girth Flaccid.
I went from 4 inches Erect Girth to now 5 inches.
I also went from 2.75 in length Flaccid to about 3.25-3.5 in length.
I am staying right at 5 inches in Erect length.
I am right at 26 days post procedure.
I am scheduled for my second procedure in March. That should get me to around 6 inches.
If anyone is interested in it feel free to reach out to me.

Good for you! Jamshid Elist\'s Penuma implant was a joke! It felt extremely uncomfortable. He claimed that it\'s a soft material, and that\'s just total BS. The edges never smooth out while I had it. There were always protrusions. The texture was hard. Any woman could easily tell that there\'s an implant in there. His practice needs to get shut down!

James/Jamshid Elist's Penuma implant is a WASTE of money. 5 years 9 months ago #1307960821

Hey Guys. I had it done last year in 2018 and I agree whole-heartedly. It never looks natural and there are hard protrusions that hurt. Mine actually looks much better than most and I have been so patient in waiting for the \"miracle\" of it straightening out when the penis stretches. It\'s a lie. I had it done initially and it was so off center that it was unreal. They did fix it a few months later and it still is not centered right. However, it does look pretty natural when just Hanging Flaccid and not moving around. If I am getting undressed in a gym, no one would notice and they would think I had a big Dick. However, if I sit down, it can look misshapen due to the bending of the implant. I would never feel comfortable just running around nude because even laying down it looks weird an unnatural. I was getting a massage by a straight guy (I am gay) and he could tell I had an implant. He had been considering one himself and could also tell by my scar. When I lay down, tit looks like the head of a cobra as the sides protrude away from the shaft. I feel freakish at times. The only benefit is that I look like I have a big Dick in a swimsuit. But who gives a shit when someone can tell it\'s fake if they touched it or if I moved the wrong way exposing the implant. I was average before I got the implant. My Girth was shy of average but I was still about 6 inches Erect. Ellst office is not upfront with us and they will not give any information about happy customers. I asked them to give my information to men that were happy with the results and they said that they would. I never heard from anyone. At first, I felt bad because my implant actually does look better than everyone\'s on this site from what I can tell. However, now I have a scar and an unnatural Dick that has a protrusion that hurts when I masturbate. I am self-conscious way more than I ever was. I went through months of depression and am sick and tired of obsessing over my damn Dick and the implant. I will likely have it removed at some point. Thankfully I am married to a great guy and he has been so patient. I feel self-conscious in front of him because my Dick feels so bizarre now. I was hoping to have confidence and instead, I have way less than I did before. Even when naked, I have to make sure that I pull on it to straighten out the protrusion so it looks natural (and it does once that happens). However, I am now always aware of it in my pants and when I lay down and see it, it depresses me because it just looks weird when it is not straightened out. They told me that it softens and basically takes the shape of the penis which is obviously bullshit. I was in denial at first because I couldn\'t imagine that they would still be in business after so many bad penis jobs. I assumed that they would have already been on the news and shut down with many articles that warn us about the bullshit implants. It took a while to finally get to a place where I can admit to myself that I am very unhappy with my decision and feel ashamed that I sought this out in the first place. Pure vanity. My Dick was actually just fine the way it was and now it will likely never be again. I just want my money back from Elist but am nervous about going down that road with him and the staff. I hope this investigator from the medical board will be helpful. I am definitely speaking to him or her about my awful experience which apparently is much better than the experience of most that have posted. R

You are not alone. Jamshid Elist will never give me the full refund. I wasted my money for nothing. I really hope that Medical Board of California goes after him. He and his staff are all disgusting LIARS.

James/Jamshid Elist's Penuma implant is a WASTE of money. 5 years 9 months ago #1308034164

I had the procedure as well. Mine lasted for almost 1 year and then the implant came loose and shifted. It was so painful. I had it removed shortly after. It never felt natural at all. It might have looked nice from the outside but it was basically useless. Erections and intercourse were painful. I lost feeling in the top of the penis and now the head of my penis is numb. It's been an all around nightmare that cost $17,500.
This is for potential patients: if the doctor tells you you skin is tight, run. You might loose the feeling in your penis too.

I have a consultation tomorrow. Is it better to get a ligament cut instead?

@MadeinUSA -Don\'t mean to sidetrack this thread. Did the Dr. Gelmand give reasons why you should never get the ligament cut? I was told by a Urology doctor that the ligament really doesn\'t do much.

Dr. Joel Gelmand MD at UCI Medical Center told me that you should never have the ligament cut.

I have also accused him of wrongdoing and malpractice with.the California Medical Board together with another patient who is not known to me.
As I said elsewhere he got away with a slap of the hand as punishment. Lame !
what we need to do to be listened to is a class action lawsuit if there is enough of us he will finally be stripped of his medical license.
It\'s ridiculous how he continues his marketing and of course there will always be innocent men falling for this crap.

After having a catastrophic surgery with Elist like 100% of his patients have, I had severe backwards curvature
Dr Joel Gelman who is a true ethical physician did not initially recommend either stretching or suspensory ligament cut
However on a case by case basis he has mentioned to me that this actually might no be a bad idea.
Dr Gelman is expensive and probably has removed more elist implants than anyone.. I highly recommend him

I am so sorry about what happened to you. Thank you for reporting Elist to the Medical Board of CA.
Just like you and others, I fell for the marketing. To be honest, on the day of the surgery, the medical assistant Matt showed me the Penuma implant
and let me touch it. The texture was quite hard (not soft at all). That was a red flag. However, I was so desperate to get a bigger Dick that I convinced
myself to go for it. That was a HUGE mistake. Matt probably knows that many cases have failed. He flat out told me that most patients never had complications. That\'s such BS. I am so angry at this whole practice. A bunch of lying sociopaths.
