PMMA, and how your body has responded to the material all play a role in determining what can realistically be corrected and which approach may be appropriate.
Because
PMMA is permanent and can become incorporated into surrounding tissue,
Repair is often considerably more complex than simply removing or redistributing filler.
While photos are helpful,
photos alone cannot tell Dr. Carney what's happening beneath the skin, including the extent of any scar tissue, fibrosis, nodules, or granulomas. That's why an in-person examination is necessary before he can determine what improvements may be possible.
The same applies to cost. Without knowing the extent of the damage or what would be required to
Repair it, we wouldn't want to give you a price range that could be misleading.
Our goal with any
Repair is to achieve the best possible functional and aesthetic outcome while preserving healthy tissue, but the degree of improvement varies considerably from patient to patient. Dr.
