Yesterday the British Journal of Urology published 'Am I Normal?' a comprehensive study that has determined global average penis length and girth, hoping to help put to rest men's anxieties about their size.The goal of the study was to create nomograms (graphical representations of penis measurements spanning all ages and races) that would reassure men of the normalcy of their size and thereby alleviate men with 'penis anxiety,' or 'small penis syndrome' verging on body dysmorphia disorder (although the study excludes extreme cases of BDD affecting the 2.28% of men whose penises measure more than two standard deviations below the population average). Researchers assessed 96 previous reports focusing on male genitals, excluded most due to their focus on specific health issues such as erectile dysfunction, and decided on 20 valid studies that measured penis length and circumference.

Apparently I was actually \"Average\" girth before PMMA... not below average. Wow.

The only way the average could be measured \"accurately\" would be to measure every last penis in the world in 5 year age increments... by the time the study was done the entire thing would be falsified since a ton of people would have changes age groups.

I was 4.5\" Mid shaft and base and head Girth lol. Pretty much same size all the way down.

Mind you I first got PMMA at 22 years old... perhaps now, as I am with girls who are more experienced, maybe I would have eventually had negative reviews on my Girth.

My Girth is also 4.5 inches, but it\'s 4.5 at its thickest point. Just wondering- were you 4.5 inches at thickest point or midshaft? Because from what I\'ve seen, some people say they are 4.5 inches in Girth, but it turns out that is their midshaft Girth, and their base Girth is like 4.75-5 inches. So, in reality they are 4.75-5 inches, not 4.5 inches. In my opinion, thickest point is what counts, as that is what is going inside the girl (doesn\'t matter if it is at base or where ever). So, you might have been more than 4.5 inches.

I do not think 4.59\" Girth is average.. I\'m not just talking about porn. I was always 4.5 and MOST guys were thicker than me...in America. If you want to talk about Asia, I don\'t know...and that study includes Asia so it\'s skewed.

And 5.16 EL? No. Again, similar situation... it\'s more like 5.8 in america.

If these studies use induced erections or stretched Flaccid length (all in front of doctors) - they are nothing like real erections in sexual situations. I\'ve had plenty of induced erections in my doctor\'s office for Peyronies evaluation, and they\'re 2/3 of the size of my normal Erection.

I don\'t think averages mean anything, but just a way for us smaller guys to feel better about ourselves. Basically most women have experienced one or more \"big dicks\" in their life, and that\'s what every other guy she\'s with is measured against. She\'s not looking at you and thinking, \"Oh he\'s a half Inch above average, and I get wet just thinking about it.\" She\'s thinking, \"He\'s not very big compared to Mr. Donkey Dick, but it\'s okay.\"

It\'s considered fairly \'arthouse\' so beware if you\'re not into loose and ambiguous narratives and unconventional characters. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It\'s very atmospheric with great cinematography and you get to see Scarlett in her birthday suit in multiple scenes, which is always a bonus.

In regards to this collection of studies, it has been discussed a lot in different PE communities and there is apparently some faults, such as the report stating that all measurements of Erect length are bone pressed when some were actually not. I\'d love for it to be accurate but I\'m slightly sceptical now. I mean, 5.16\" Bone Pressed Erect Length as the average? So, if the average fatpad is around 1\" thick then it\'s suggesting that the average NBPEL (Non-Bone Pressed Erect Length) is around 4 inches? It just doesn\'t seem right to me.

Yeah I know what you mean. Average just seems \"mediocre\" or \"nothing special\"... It\'s human nature (especially in males) to want to be better than other men, not just one of the average joes.

Then, when you attach your masculinity to your sexuality and penis size (like a lot of members here must do) your drive to want to be way bigger than average seems even more.

In my mind the term average will always carry negative connotation. Nature failed us humans in every way when it comes to any endowment or faculty and where the average lies.

This would explain why every woman who has seen my Dick post PMMA says it is huge.
