Michael:
A small percentage of guys cannot tolerate
Cialis for this very reason (I believe it\'s around 7%). I have had my own experience with it that I will describe below. From Googling around, I found a website where a doctor describes this condition and recommends that guys who experience these symptoms should switch to either Viagra or Levitra. These two are much better tolerated in regards to cramping...
Your problem could result from having too much nitric oxide in your system. Are you taking any supplements like l-arginine or l-citrulline? That\'s basically what happened to me...
I was taking l-citrulline, which dramatically increases N.O. levels. L-Citrulline by itself can actually reverse erectile dysfunction in some men and will produce rock hard erections (Google it). I started taking it with
Cialis to help with my
Girth workouts.
Cialis does not increase N.O. levels, but will help you better utilize the nitric oxide that is in your system. Logic will tell you that more N.O. in your system plus
Cialis will produce incredible erections. Well let me tell you, the combination of the two did not disappoint.
I started both the l-citrulline and
Cialis on the same day. After about 3 days, I got unbelievable cramping in my legs and hips. I knew it had to be one of the two. So I cut out the l-citrulline and the next day my cramping completely went away. At least for me, the cramping was possibly caused by an excess of nitric oxide in my system (not the
Cialis - see below).
***Just a note: the medical literature specifically states not to combine l-citrulline or anything that raises nitrate levels with
Cialis, as it can cause an extreme drop in blood pressure. I stupidly ignored this because I was only taking 5 mg. of
Cialis every other day and thought it would be ok. Could it have been low blood pressure causing the cramping? Possibly.
Anyway, my suggestion to you is to examine any supplements that you are taking that could raise nitric oxide levels or lower blood pressure. Eliminate these and then see if your cramping goes away. If it doesn\'t, you might need to switch to Levitra or Viagra, as these are better tolerated. Hope this helps. If you are on Blood Pressure medication, I\'m not sure if you should be taking E.D. mdications to begin with and should probably consult a physician.
