TOPIC: Painful When You Meet Someone But Can't Have Sex

So lately I met someone online and we both have developed a deep connection. I currently am unable to have sex because of a large amount of scar tissue that has buried my penis and nodules of tissue that are way too obvious by sight and touch. I have been trying as hard as I can to get my life back and find a surgeon who is capable of doing my reconstruction. It\'s very uncomfortable for me to start talking to a woman who is obviously interested in me when I know that I am unable to have sex with them.

I continue to search for a surgeon, but it\'s so hard to keep coming up empty when someone in your life really likes you and is interested in having sex with you.

I don\'t want to go into names of the surgeons who either won\'t do my surgery or have told me that they are not the best surgeon for the job.

But I can say the following are the surgeons who are left, but may or may not have the ss for the job. Hopefully someone can give me some opinions.

Dr. Reed

Dr. Camacho or something close to the spelling

Dr. Gelman- Who is not a plastic surgeon

Dr. Solomon


Some of these plastic surgeons in the US obviously cost a lot more money

Not sure if Dr.Camacho\'s prices are better than the US, but I would think so


If anyone has any suggestions when it comes to the following surgeons for reconstruction, please share your thoughts and opinions

I\'m still Hanging in there and trying to get as much information as I can from members of the forum and by calling plastic surgeons so I can know which surgeon is the best for my particular situation. It\'s been a long hard road, but it helps to be around people who understand what I am going through and who can relate to problems with this type of procedure. Thanks to everyone who has been very helpful and informative when it comes to information.

I forced myself to keep trying and did some research tonight and asked for help about posting some pictures. So I have managed to be consistant, even when being consistant is hard when you have been through a horrible traumatic surgery, but the way I see it is that I will keep on trying and use this post as a my progress thread.

I\'ve continued to keep reaching out for help reguarding my case and I am staying positive that something good will come out of this and this nightmare will be over someday. I have been reading threads and looking into all of the stories on the forum when it comes to PMMA and reconstruction. I am very thankful that I have a place to go where people are contemplating the surgery or have already had the surgery.

Have you found any surgeon that will consider reconstruction surgery?

I have it narrowed down and on one of my posts I show the surgeons I have went to for consultations and my thoughts and decisions based on my personal experience and knowlege of the surgeons.

I am in a very bad situation because-

-Dr.Alter has basically black balled me from ever being his patient (long story). He was extremely rude anyway

-When I contacted Wade about a possible reconstruction he said another surgeon( would be doing my procedure if I choose to go with Dr.C\'s office in Mexico. Also, I asked him to ask the surgeon on a scale from 1-10, (10 being the most difficult) how difficult the surgery would be and he told me a 3, but I\'m guessing he was just talking about the scar tissue Removal because he said the surgeon would have to look at the nodules I have in my shaft position close to the head in person because that area is the hardest part of operate on.

-I actually had a consultation with Dr.Gelman at the beginning of the year and flew to CA for an appointment for $200. Dr.Gelman had a great bedside manner and treated me with respect. During my consultation he looked at the 3-4 Inch thick wall of scar tissue and told me that there wouldn\'t be a reason to remove it because it wasn\'t interfering with me urinating... Depending on the difficulty of your surgery and what he was able to do for you, he might have just said that to me, but maybe he has enough s to remove the scar tissue, most of it at least. My only problem is that Dr.Gelman doesn\'t take my insurance, which would be hospital fee\'s and a lot of other things on top to the surgery it\'s self.

I decided to post my information on this thread since it\'s easier for people to actually understand what I\'m talking about.

It\'s another Saturday night and I am trying to stay positive, still being patient and I am hoping to get a response from the guy that says he has had successful surgery with Dr.Gelman. In the meantime I keep trying to live with this trauma and pain and keep waiting to hear back from people who have had actual successful reconstruction surgery. But it\'s also better than taking the plunge into the knife again and having things go terrible.
