TOPIC: PMMA current cost with Dr C

Hi, I'm planning to start the process for booking an appointment with Dr C in Tijuana for the end of the year and I saw that the first treatment is $2500. Didn't it use to be $1500 from him? Is this a recent pice increase or am I mistaken? Thanks!

I'm pretty sure it is: $2500 for first procedure, $2000 for second, $1500 for third... $1000 for just a touch up with a maximum amount of PMMA. It's been this price for all of 2013, I know it was cheaper before, but not sure how long ago.

Someone please speak up if I've mis-remembered the prices.

Yes, the price used to be a lot cheaper. I am kind of kicking myself for waiting and letting the price go up. But at the same time, I am glad that I waited, gained more information and confidence in the procedure and made what I think is a good decision. Yes, it may cost a little more now, but at the same time, you are also paying for experience. That in itself is worth every bit of the price increase.

I just left there today. Wade was telling me that they import their product and the manufacturer raised the price. Dr. C. used to do a lot of Butts... but because of the price increase that procedure has become too expensive. His main practice is Penis's and Muscles with some Face procedures mixed in. They said that as Butts fell off of the schedule, Girth enhancement took it's place. There is another place in TJ that does all as well but they make their own product and Dr. C. refuses to jeapordize quality.

Hard question to answer, I know - maybe the person I should ask is Wade or Dr. C.

That being said, I feel the current prices are pretty damn reasonable for what you're getting, as carljohnson already stated.

I'm not even sure Wade or Dr. C would know. A price increase would depend on a few factors, which include a (significant) increase in demand for the procedure, as well as a notable increase in product/filler costs. The procedure used to originally cost $1500 and now first-appointments run $2500, 67% in what I think was less than 2 years. And no one saw that coming. In other words, only time & markets know (though the doctor may have an inkling). That being said, I think it's highly unlikely this procedure will be 7000 in 2 years, unless a number of improbable events occur in the whole PMMA/bioplasty realm, 7000 would be pricing themselves out of the market.

I asked Wade this just a few days ago. Below is his response:
"The pricing structure using Metacril PMMA is as follows: $2500 for the first treatment, $2000 for the second treatment, and $1500 for all additional sessions. Touch up sessions will be $1000 up to five cc's of PMMA. Additional costs may be a stretching device, which will be determined the day of your procedure. The cost is $55."

I actually didn't know that they now use Metacril, rather than "new plastic". I will have to do more research on Metacril before I can make a decision on this procedure. I know literally nothing about the differences between the two.

How many days does all this procedures take, And what is the end of result, are there pictures? Can anyone tell me what the difference would be between this doctor and doctor Kim Jin in Seol Korea.

Doctor Kim has less experience I believe. Dr.Casavantes has had a lot more successful procedures. There are a number of patients who have reports on their progress with PMMA and pictures. You'll fine them in the Patient Support Group and Progress Report section.

this is probably a dumb question, but what is the minimum time you leave inbetween courses of PMMA

I think 6 weeks if I remember correctly. But its beneficial if you'll wait 6+ months due to collagen growth and how it changes in the first 6 months.

$2,800/$2,300/$1,800

Linnea is a little more. I still need to search about the difference, if any.
