TOPIC: PMMA - had sex this morning. Still very swollen hours later

I had the second round of my procedure about 5.5 years ago. No real issues to date. This morning I had sex with my wife, and now all day my penis has been about .75' thicker than it usually is, and looks somewhat swollen. There's also a slight throbbing feeling.

Has anyone else had this issue? Any remedies?

Okay so swelling was essentially nonexistent today. I told my Urologist about my procedure and he said this is his first time seeing something like this, but everything looks fine.

The other pain I was having was related to a kidney stone.

I just read it, thank you. Glad things are working out for you now.

I made an appointment at the Urologist so we'll see what happens. I went to a General Practitioner last week and she essentially said she didn't think it was a hernia. I told her I thought it could be an infection but she said to maybe see a Urologist. It seemed like after I told her about PMMA she didn't wanna have to deal with me.

I went to a Family practitioner a few days ago and told her about my issues, but it seemed like there was nothing she could do. She checked for a hernia and then said I should go to a Urologist, so I'll see if I can book something ASAP.

But, lucky for you... I aleady faced that shit... Hit it with antibiotics for about 10-14 days.

It actually did also feel warm in that area, but it's since died down. I'm used to a little swelling, maybe .25' for a couple hours, but this was significantly larger and not going down.

I put some ice on it but that didn't do anything.

I was fortunate that my mother in law is an RN and had a bunch of leftover antibiotics. But a Dr wi\'ll hook you up if you explain what\'s going on, or at least what your concerns are.

See a Dr. Or start some antibiotics. Also, try to figure out the cause, STD? Infection from a cut by razor? Lots of pathways for bacteria to enter the body, but if the PMMA is reacting, i can\'t help but think the infection has entered through the the penis.

This was my concern. I had a post the other day that I have also had a dull pain in my left testicle, that also kind of goes up my groin to my back. I was thinking it could be some sort of infection. How did you get antibiotics? I'm afraid if I go to the doctor they'll just chalk it up to the implant and won't do anything.

I considered that, but he\'s had it 5.5 years. If that was how it got after sex, he\'d be used to that by now?

Kinda sounds like what happened to me, after my penile piercing. Turned out I had an infection and the PMMA responded negatively to the infection.
