TOPIC: phalloplasty done with induced erection

Has anyone had PMMA, Fat, or HA enhancement done after physician induced an Erection. Just curious about whether this gives a better final result. !st time I had it done while Flaccid..the second time while Erect..Just wondering how most doctors do it...also with PRP..what is longest one can expect it to last before getting another injection..

my understanding when mine was done was semi Erection, when it\'s to Erect it\'s more difficult while using a cannula to place the HA\'s where needed

Hoddle in my opinion is right about this. I\'ve had two rounds and have experienced what he is talking about. I have to wrap tightly mid shaft to get the PMMA to stay towards the base. The skin towards the base is much thicker and less pliable. Massaging won\'t fix this. You have to force it there and keep it there by wrapping.

The Erection is no problem injecting the shaft because you are external to the corpus(erectile tissue). It gets more bleeding in the glans though.

Unless you are using HA or maybe Silikon micro droplets, then I don\'t see the point in having an erection. The carrier for PMMA is water based, meaning it can move. You can\'t keep your penis erect for 3 days until the carrier is absorbed. I think guys with issue\'s think that no PMMA is being placed where they have low spots and think that by having an erection the Dr will be able to see the low spots more clearly and directly target them. But in reality, the low spots are where the skin is less compliant and therefore the water based fillers will simply move and settle where there is more give in the skin. The most obvious places for low spots are just below the glans where the skin is thin and tight and at the base, where the skin is thick and tight. Issues like that aren\'t going to be addressed by being injected when erect.

If you have an issue with the base, then fill that area and wrap tightly, just above it, to trap it in place. Effectively make the stretchy shaft skin less compliant that the thicker skin at the base.

If you look at alexcycles photos (link below), you will see he has a bulge of fat and nothing at the base. You aren\'t going to fix this kind of thing by injecting when erect, even though that base will still out and the Dr will be able to see that it\'s much thinner there. As soon as the erection dies down, the filler will start to move up the shaft.

I\'ve just order some flomax alpha blockers for this reason. Seemsto be a happy medium. Especially for growers.

yes, i had HA\'s w/ caverject.

I wish Dr. C did it this way. So many more issues can be seen while Erect.

Always wondered if it\'s a good idea to use a stretcher post op to combat reduction? Most members have also thought along the same lines.

We do it to try and get product right down the full length of the shaft. But even then it is probably the most common place to need a little more on the second round.

just wondering..had much better result 2nd time...different DR, didnt overfill like 1st time..but also used caverject before procedure...and also PRP ...may go 1 more time in a few months ..maybe a little more towards base..does wrapping apply to just PMMA or also FFT
