Hello everyone,

I just had PMMA treatment 2 weeks ago for my tricep (suffered a tendon tear some years ago which left a huge deformity)
The muscle itself wasn\'t able to hold much solution due to its hardened state so we went with subq for most of it.

Problem now is that I have a large collection of something pooled at one of the injection sites right above the elbow, so I suspect it has maybe sank to the bottom from top of the tricep?
(All areas of the tricep were injected but largest amount was toward the the top)

The enlarged lumpy area is pliable and soft but tough underneath, I can move it slightly but it just bounces back to its position.
I\'ve tried massaging it, wrapping it, dispersing it for the last few days but it makes little difference.

Does anyone know what this could be?

Thanks much appreciated.

The picture popped up first and I was like \"that\'s an odd looking penis\" ... aaaand then realized it was a tricep lol.

I\'m not familiar with subq for muscular restructuring.

After a muscle tear, the fascia is going to be interesting. Hard to tell just from the pic what all is going on, but you may want to check out some of the info available about fascia blasting for reducing irregularities like that. For me, a combo of that, red light therapy, and time has resolved most all issues.

You have not mentioned who did this, but I assume it\'s Dr C in Mexico? IF so, call him and he\'ll help you out.

I suspect it\'s mostly swelling from fluids. PMMA in the muscle in most cases does not move at all once injected.

Thank you very much for the replies everyone, I do appreciate it.
The swelling has reduced substantially but there is residue of something squishy (For lack of a better word!) still Hanging around there. It can now be seen at two specific points (entry points) now that the swelling has reduced.

And there are two very noticeable lumps or nodules at these points too. I will take your advice and just give it time.
Wade was helpful but to be fair there\'s not a lot he can say or do to help since we\'re in different countries, and he had stopped replying so I don\'t want to continue to bother him.

Hopefully the nodules and squishy substance will go in the next few weeks and months.
