TOPIC: silicone + pmma question

silicone + pmma question 8 years 9 months ago #1291624398

this might be a stupid idea / question.... but i was wondering, since the docs in mexico now uses silicone to top of and correct minor details with PMMA they obviously dont react badly to each other.. has anyone though about doing small silicone injections between every round of PMMA?

my thought was that it might help smoothing out the 30% PMMA a bit, and also make it a bit softer! it would also help gaining size a little faster.. say, 5-10cc of silicone in between rounds of 15cc ish PMMA.

what do you guys think? most stupid idea of the year award?

Best to consult Dr. C on what he thinks about that strategy but from what I\'ve gathered here, I\'d suggest using the silicone after your last PMMA session. The key is to set a goal and stick to it. Once you are where you want to be, you can target any & all problem areas with the silicone and call it a day. With a procedure that requires multiple appointments, it\'s crucial your mind is made up from the beginning. Know when to \"retire\" from PE, and especially with PMMA, your very last round should be strictly for Revision & aesthetics (imo).

Every time you \"bulk\" up, you run the risk of aesthetic irregularities. This is why I concluded ending with silicone microdroplets. It just seems like having it (silicone) done in between rounds wont necessarily prevent your next PMMA session from resulting in aesthetic irregularities, making it a waste of time & money...if that makes any sense (?).

i dont go to Dr.C, its veery far away :/ Ive been to Dr.N 2 rounds, but ill might ask her..

I have a goal, and im sticking to it.. this was an idea to make the PMMA a little softer, and more even. and there would be a size gain as a added bonus to ofcourse!

Also, going to Dr.N means, no bulking up rounds.. she only does small admounts each time, meaning id probably have to go 10 rounds to get to the same gain and admounts as people here does in 4 down in mexico! and 5-10cc would be 50%+ of the admount Dr.N does in one round so i woulndt call it a waste of time and money ;P

smalljay wrote: I agree with Skeptical. I don\'t know if Avanti still does this, but when I went less than a year ago they \'pitched\' me the micro droplets in a way that looking back on, I don\'t think is the right way to do things. Their \'pitch\' was that if I let them give me the silicon microdroplets right then and there (during my first PMMA session) they (the droplets) would be free, but if I wanted to come back later to get the silicon I\'d have to pay for it.

This applied a bit more pressure than it should have to an already very nervous me. Very stupid of me to give in and try to save a chunk of change by getting microdroplets done during session 1. (so, while you\'re all freshly swelled up with carrier and PMMA you get micro droplets on your circ scar area. Then you have to massage the PMMA over the next 3 days and everything is very mobile so the microdroplets might get mixed up with and covered up by the PMMA, or at least disturbed during the necessary massage of PMMA).

I now have like 1 CC\'s of permanent silicone that is plainly useless in helping the circ scar look good (mine looks terrible). Even if my \'buried by PMMA\' theory is not true (maybe the microdroplets are injected only slightly below the skin, thus above all the PMMA) - even then, how accurately can you really apply microdroplets when the PMMA and carrier is still fresh, and a real \'ridge\' from PMMA hasn\'t even formed yet?

I think microdroplets are best applied to a final product, aka after PMMA carrier has absorbed and the PMMA collagen has grown in and stabilized. Then you know exactly where to inject and where your problem areas truly are, and there\'s no chance of it getting covered up/disturbing it with massage/having it injected into an area where you didn\'t really need it.

Also, do yourselves a favor and never cut financial corners with your future Phalloplasty decisions. If it costs a bit more to do it the slow and patient way, pay that little bit extra if you can afford it. I kind of wish I had tried a temporary filler first (would have been more expensive in the long run, but would also have been a great learning experience for PMMA and maybe I could have avoided my aftercare mistakes, or been happy with a temporary filler and not taken the unknown long term risk of PMMA at all).

I am not cut, and the idea is not to prevent a ridge at the circumsition scar (i dont have) but a more like mixed with the PMMA just like you describe! i feel the 30% is hard enough, a bit softer woulndt hurt! (this is mainly when im Flaccid, when hard it feels ok)

\"Also, do yourselves a favor and never cut financial corners\" hmm? are you implying im trying to cut financial corners?? if so, your missing the target, by miles..

Where is Dr. N located and what are the financial costs of PMMA?

Dr. N is located in the search button and the financial costs are probably found in your email correspondences with Dr. N\'s office. Good luck.
