TOPIC: Worried about elist implant

Worried about elist implant 10 years 11 months ago #1290048799

elist implant is an extremely \"high maintenance\" surgery/implant. When I had mine removed, elist was shaking his head saying how well the implant had settled in there. He was angry at me because he felt this one of the more \"successful\" cases in his deranged mind. This is one of the very few things I believe from his lying lips. I know it had healed in there very well. It was because I had wrapped it for almost one solid year, almost 24/7, did not have sex or masturbate for three months solid and was always taking care of it. This kept the edges formed around the shaft and the scar tissue built nicely around it. I still had major pain near the glans till today but it has lessened but never went away. This is by no means saying the implant was good, it causes continuous irritation to the penis and builds up scar tissue which increases and hardens with time. After Removal, the penis is in \"shock\" again and the scar tissue causes pyronie\'s condition and shortening of the shaft. In my case, it caused my shaft to bend to the right and upward, opposite of how it was before; to the left! Can you imagine? It altered the natural shape of the penis. From all the reports here, this and other problems are a direct cause of this stupid NON FDA approved BS.....

I am not trying to scare patients who have it now, quite the opposite, I wish them the best of luck what ever their decision is.

I am an Elist Victim , you can see my posts elsewhere,

I had the implant removed 2.5 months after insertion and even then

I had terrible consequences, I had the implant removed in October 2015 by Dr

Gary Alter, excellent job , but residual scars left my penis short and with two

curvatures that made sex very difficult, so I went to see Dr Joel Gelman,

Who in retrospective view I should\'ve seen first. He did a 3rd operation on my

penis to remove the residual plaques of scar tissue around shaft and base

He did a great job, curvatures improved, however now scarring at the base

made my penis even shorter, My Fiance who I was going to marry in

September, this year, left me..., I can\'t even wear a condom, so my sex life is

confined to self love, it\'s really devastating, I tried to sue Elist . but no lawyers

will take the case, I just hope future Elist victims see this and stay away from

that butcher.

Man, every time I read this, it catapults me back in time and I feel my scars and pains...

Really sorry about what you went thru and for your lady to leave you, that sucks. I thought most women said sex in not important to them!

I think you will recover well, follow your Dr\'s directions and start to stretch and pump if your Dr agrees to it.

Good Luck!

So it\'s been quite a while since I posted on here but just wanted to give some updates. It has been nearly a year (or possibly a little over but who\'s counting) since I had my Revision done 9year and two months since my first surgery) by Elist. I still had a bulge on the right side which I believe was due to him not properly centering the original. I talked to him and stressed that this is ridiculous that I spent $13K and I have now had a dysfunctional penis for over a year. Eventually through much back and forth he agreed to put in the bigger implant at no charge. I went to a doctor for a second opinion. The doctor said to leave it as is and that I would have a risk of infection if I went through with another surgery and would not make any comment as to the bump on the right side due to the implant bulging. Furthermore he told me if it was remover I may run the risk of not being able to get an Erection at all (Which from some of the other post I know is possible but unlikely). I guess that\'s what I get for going to a Kaiser Urologist. Anyway I finally went through with the larger implant. When I was there Elist told me he would cover the cost of the implant, but not the cost of the anesthesiologist since the surgery center charged him every time. I told him I\'m not spending a dime and after some back and forth he told me he would cover the cost. I now have a new implant. I am cautiously optimistic. It does seem to cover the circumference of my shaft much better than the last one and I am hoping to not have any of the issues I did last time. I will continue to provide updates as I just had this done last Friday 9/9. I know everyone on here hates Elist and I feel like I did get some of his shenanigans this time, but for the most part am pleased that I spent no money to get the larger implant for all of the trouble I have been through. I am sure I will get a lot of people on here questioning why in the hell I would have decided to do this and I myself still do, but again trying to be optimistic. Will keep everyone posted in a few weeks with progress!

@gearhead Good luck with the recovery. Both my partner and I did the surgery in July, I know how uncomfortable the recovery period is, to say the least. Did you get upgraded to the XXL implant then when you say you got the bigger implant? I already find the XL big enough with my circumference sitting at 6 inches. I can\'t even fit regular condoms and have to buy Magnums now. Thanks for sharing your story and give us an update.

Been awhile since I\'ve been on here. In case anyone\'s following this here are some updates. I still would have spent my money on something else if I had it to do over again. I haven\'t had any Erect gains. The implant is stable now. There is a slight hard spot on the right side, but not really noticeable and not too uncomfortable. I have lost some sensitivity on the top of my shaft and it takes more time to orgasm, but that isn\'t always a bad thing. I never had a problem lasting in bed and I can last for about 45 minutes now which can sometimes be annoying. My wife likes the thickness, but still likes the other things I\'m able to do for her in bed much more and in hindsight we should have opted not to do this. Now that the implant has been in for awhile I\'m going to try a tension extender to see if I can get some additional length. I\'m just glad that the large protrusion on the right side from the original 2 surgeries is gone. Overall the toll this took on me during that time was pretty awful and this wasn\'t worth it.

Yeah I had the same issue with sensitivity in the first few months. At about 11 months now and the sensation when I jerk off is about the same as before surgery. How much bigger is this new implant for you? I got the XL. Is this the XXL?
