TOPIC: Lost length and girth after penile implant

Hello,
I\'m new to board and I really don\'t know where to turn. I had an AMS 700 CX put in Dec. 18, 2014 as a result of a penis fracture I suffered in 2011. The results have been awful and I\'ve lost considerable length and Girth. I also have strong curvature (40 degrees) that wasn\'t there previously and some minor buckling of the cylinders.

I\'ve been all over the internet looking for the right doctor to correct this...Not even sure if its possible. Every time I think I\'ve found a doctor I think might be able to help (Djinovic, Elist, Guinta) I read a lot of negatives out there. The last thing I want to do is go through another surgery without REAL RESULTS and spend a ton of money. Any suggestions? Or has someone had this same experience and been able to correct this? Would PMMA be the answer or having something done surgically? I think I probably need a doctor who cannot only help with the length and Girth but one who done a lot of implant surgeries. Thanks!

Yeah I think it\'s entirely possible that you\'ll regain some size as the penis stretches out and adapts to the implant. But it will be interesting to hear what Eid says. Keep us posted.

The Dr. was a local Urologist here in Denver who does a ton of implants. What led to this was was a penile fracture suffered in 2011 during intercourse. The only effective measure to get a penetrable Erection was a vacuum.

I\'m trying to stretch it out as much as I can with the implant and I just started trying to use the vacuum (painful) to see if that will help. It only been a couple of months since surgery so I\'m hoping I can still somehow make this work. I have a teleconference with Dr. Eid this week so well see what he says and recommends.

The AMS 700 LXG does not \"add\" length or Girth. It simply expands more, going from a more natural retracted to Erect state, but it does not make your penis bigger. The other implants don\'t get much longer when you activate them, they just fill out and become harder. isnt there an implant (the ams 700 LXG) that actually adds length and Girth? you could get your one taken out (if it is defective or you have to get it removed),ask the doctor about it.

Dr. Eid in NYC is who I was going to go to if I had the implant...I did a LOT of research beforehand. He seems overloaded with patients, though...so there might be equally good choices.

You shouldn\'t have curvature after the implant... something doesn\'t sound right...The implant should be acting like a stent to prevent curvature.

Buckling in the Flaccid state (meaning, seeing the deflated cylinder edges) isn\'t unusual...not normal in Erect state., though.

Some size loss is normal, unfortunately...but it should come back over time.

See if you can get reevaluated by a male sexual function specialist... or a doctor that does 100s of implants like Dr. Eid. You shouldn\'t have to be in this situation with the current technology and techniques available.

I would also check out Dr. Reed in Miami - he is very good and has been a urological surgeon for decades. He does a lot of SRS and his nurse was telling me about the implant procedure for a female to male, which involves constructing a penis (out of my curiosity, not planning on changing my sex anytime soon, lol). He is cautious and also reasonably priced I have found. Gone to him over 20 years. He is a bit of a character but so what, I like the guy. FYI I just had a dead graft that was 20 years old removed by him which is a really traumatic experience on one\'s Dick, I imagine similar to have an implant removed - I am still healing so I can\'t speak to the final result but I would go to him again.

This is timely for me because I\'m researching and considering an implant. From what I\'ve seen, results cover a pretty wide spectrum. Some guys report gaining Girth, but it\'s difficult to say why some lose and some gain. How much did you lose, and who did your implant?

I have a implant for ed my self too and yes if the doctor does not size you up well u will lose length. for starters if u don\'t mind can u tell me what doctor did the implant for u? the best doctors for ed implant are dr eid in nyc I think he is one of the best. also dr Andrew Kramer will size you well from what I seen on his videos on youtube. my recommendation is go for a second opinion to see if the doctor size the implant well and if not have a Revision. the ams lgx gives u length but not a lot of Girth. the titan coloplast gives u a lot of Girth but is not good for length. so u have to do ur homework on the implants before having them.

I wouldn\'t trust Dr Elist with my enemies penis........can\'t speak for the other 2 doctors because I don\'t have any experience with them.

As for who can help you with length.....let us all know when you find one. Absolutely none can help with length, so save your money. Only thing that\'s every worked was the Jez-Extender & it also works for curvature of the penis.

Most men, if not all are looking for length on this site as well as Girth. PMMA seems like it gives decent results for Girth.......

Its a shame how women have been getting breast implants & at whatever size they want for over 20 years & men\'s penises have been getting mangled trying yo get some length under surgery.

Maybe scientists & medical boards all over the world don\'t give a crap about how men want to perceive themselves & only care about women......

I mean, everywhere you look, the magazines have women with beautiful bodies on them, & the only men\'s magazines are for sports or how to build a house.

Again, when you do find a doctor that has a guarantee of giving us men length gains of 1 to 3 inches, please let us know......& I\'m not talking about the scamsters.

I know the penis is a very difficult part of the body to replicate, or at least they want us to believe so.......you can\'t tell me they are ready to send people to Mars but can\'t help men with their length problems.......total BS......or maybe they don\'t give a crap of our problems with our penis.

Oh good - Dr. Eid is very nice, and extremely experienced. I hope he helps you. Hopefully w/ a phone consult, he\'ll be more focused - he was dealing with 4 patients simultaneously when I was there...in and out of the office... kind of funny. He has a good bedside manner so - despite running in and out of the office, I still liked him as a doctor. He did pay close attention to my issues when I had his attention.

My local uro likes him too, but he said he can be a bit \"sales-ish\". This may not apply to you really, but for me, I had the option to have an implant, plication surgery, or grafting surgery. Eid said there\'s no way I should do anything BUT the implant (but that\'s all he does). I decided not to do the implant after a lot more consults with other docs.
