Alter is against everything. He can afford to be as he is a busy and varied practice. Hence I trust his opinion above the other Dr\'s in this industry. All the other PE Dr\'s have to be pro one procedure and against the others, as their livelihood depends on it. Alter doesn\'t do widening surgeries as he got fed up trying to deal with all the complications and he could afford to just stop doing them. Rosenthal can\'t, hence he persists with
Belladerm despite the high dissatisfaction and complication route. Elist is the same with his implant. He\'s invested so much in it and his practice depends on it\'s success. Giunta will push
FFT, as without he\'s just a plastic surgeon without the greatest reputation.
The guy is South Korea has only mentioned
PMMA on his website since
PhalloBoards came along. It\'s the same with Elist, who now mentions it on his site. The popularity of
PMMA has without doubt had a big effect on the business of
Phalloplasty Dr\'s, as this forum is by far the number 1 resource in the world. Hence many make claims against it, whilst ignoring the fact that the only reason we even discovered it was due to being at a loss of what to do, as all the other methods had such an appalling track record. I\'m not advocating
PMMA, as I haven\'t had it myself and am still unsure if I feel it\'s safe enough yet. However, I will say, that after over 10 years of following the PE industry I\'ve never seen a procedure that has anywhere near as good of a safety/satisfaction track record as
PMMA. Sadly that isn\'t saying much for
PMMA, as the other options have shockingly bad track records, hence so few surgeons around the world offer the procedures.
