TOPIC: Skin issues from PE / PMMA

Skin issues from PE / PMMA 10 years 7 months ago #1282628402

Has anyone had any skin reactions like this from any kind of PE? This looks like something you could get from pumping too hard... but it started about 3 days after PMMA, mostly in the crevices where the penis retracts. I don\'t know if it\'s dry or irritated or what... but it is still oozing material and it is not staying dry due to that - the gauze doesn\'t get in the folds well. I had the silicone sleeve on every night, but I think I might leave it off tonight so things can breathe...

I just wonder what these lines are & when they\'ll go away. Here are pics with and without flashes. Penis skin is just very thin and sensitive - so I\'m guessing it will go away...has anyone else posted anything similar? From any PE method?

I used a good skin lotion for manipulation/palpating for quite a while after each procedure. Felt like the skin was chapped and stretched. I think it really helped. I still use almost daily to keep the skin supple and for sensitivity.

the combination of the stretched skin, the massaging, the antiseptic gel (which has alcohol) and the silicone sleeve can cause some dryness. I had a very dry shaft. When you are sliding on the silicone sleeve, did you stretch out the penis while rolling it over the shaft?
It looks like the skin is dry, and it was bunched up in the sleeve.

I think it was about a week, depends on how bad it is and how fast you heal.

Thanks Bullsnake. I just asked a bunch of questions about Wade\'s sleeve/PMMA & realized you didn\'t have any. HA... well, one question - do you remember about long did it took to go away?

I was wearing an anti turtle sleeve at night for days and my skin got chaffed, looked similar to that, went away when I stopped using it.

The pics above were taken 4 days after the procedure. The lines started the day before. I just noticed that when I get out of the shower, they are gone - the water makes them temporarily go away. I\'m not sure if that helps figure out what they are though... They might be some combo of stretch marks and the healing process...or the skin getting dried out/irritated. Maybe it was so unevenly swollen - whereas an Erection is more uniform...and this irritated the skin somehow. The lines are exactly where the folds in the skin are when the penis is Flaccid. They feel like dried out / dead skin.

Hoddle - The pics were taken with a stretch, and I posted stretched & Erect below. It changes a lot day to day. The bunching up on the side is kind of due to excess skin and swelling - I can pull the skin tight and it all goes away. If I just pull the head, it\'s still uneven somewhat...though that should diminish given how early it is. There was another poster who talked about this - wanting an excision of like 1 cm of skin - and I know exactly what he means now.

It reminds me of a rug burn type of thing that you could get from pumping w/o lube or something...but I had no friction / burn contact - so maybe it\'s some kind of similar reaction.

Day 5 - Stretched and Erect...Has anyone had this happen? This was my first natural (non viagra) Erection since the procedure and it looks bad. I had gloves bc it was still bleeding.

It does look like stretch marks but it can\'t be. His Flaccid penis would have to have been considerably bigger than his natural Erect, for stretch marks to occur. Also if you look closely the skin is slightly raised in little bumps. It looks more like an immune response and thus just part of the healing process.

@Restoration, is it looking so good because you are stretching it out or has the shape improved dramatically?

I\'m no doctor so process this with healthy skepticism.

To me they look like stretch marks. If you put a large quantity of matter under the skin of your penis, it stands to reason that it might stretch, especially if your skin was very tight. The striations are a result of the physics of the skin. I say this out of similar experience. I did stretches for a few years and got these occasionally. Not as dramatic as yours though. They healed up and I forgot about them until seeing your picture.

How many days post-op are these pictures specifically? I know you said this started 3 days out, but when were these pictures taken?

I\'ve seen such a variety of bruising, swelling, and different healing rates that I\'m not terribly surprised seeing a photo like this, and initially think of nothing more than the \"healing process.\"

Yeah - I just used a ton of aveeno and it\'s much much better... the skin got really irritated and dry... I think the verdict on that pic was just chafed / dry skin. It looked worse than that...but now it\'s flaking off quite a bit. It\'ll need a few weeks to completely heal, but the lotion has helped it not look so weird. The update almost looks fake bc it changed so much in 2 days - but seriously - this is how much the lotion worked! And, the swelling is going away in the dermal layer pretty fast. So, that freaky earthworm look isn\'t really sticking around for now... I do not think the PMMA will cause that look to come back - since it was just swelling under the skin - not deeper in the PMMA layer... but I don\'t know. I\'ll hope for the best.

This is like 75% hard. (And I seriously need to lose 15 lbs... the fat pad is pissing me off). The red lines are still there - but with a ton of lotion, they go away. It\'s still a bit sore inside and at the base. The skin is mildly irritated but nothing painful unless you try to squeeze it.

Assuming I am doing a round 2, I want to find a strong antibacterial lotion / ointment that can also be used to moisturize the skin so I can massage better (with the bleeding) and also not screw up my skin this bad. I think maybe bactroban ointment - it\'s RX but it kills everything, including MRSA. Neosporin promotes MRSA...which I was surprised to learn.

Day 7 - with Aveeno lotion
