TOPIC: Would PMMA help with sebaceous prominence (bumps on penis)

Would PMMA help with sebaceous prominence (bumps on penis) 11 years 1 week ago #1280723587

When my penis shrank from Peyronie\'s, these sebaceous glands became much more prominent. They just look really ugly to me, and they are all over my shaft - not just at the base. I wonder if it was filled back up again, maybe they would recede? Has anyone on here had a problem with this and/or treated it at all. When I was very swollen after surgery, the sebaceous glands were invisible...which makes me think that filler might replicate this effect (I think they sunk into the lymph I think). The only effective treatment for them is Accutane, but no Dermatologist will give it out for this unless you have severe acne at the same time. I consider it almost as cosmetically problematic as acne... but dermatologists don\'t care. They just say \"it\'s normal\" and brush you off. It\'s frustrating - especially since I\'ve heard low dose accutane has almost no side effects too. Well, thanks for any feedback. (I guess I don\'t just want a bigger Dick, I want it to look better too).

I have some of these too and they piss me off. I try not to think about them.
I doubt PMMA would resolve them but that\'s an interesting question, I can\'t answer myself.

Concerning accutane there are generics you can order on the web.
You should already know that but I read it takes some months to years of treatment, only to reduce the spots (they disappear but come back again, smaller), and the side effects seem pretty bad (need to avoid the sun, depression etc....).

That\'s why I didn\'t buy it yet, but it should worth it to try...

good luck

Thanks Jelq- I was on accutane many many years ago - and the doses back than were pretty high, so I had some side effects (back pain and very dry lips). I had these sebaceous glands back then too - but far fewer. They went away around month 3 and came back a few months after I stopped.

I think it might be possible to take a low dose and get rid of them...though, it\'s purely my guess. I was on 80 mg a day in college. There are studies showing adults can take 10 mg a day and have positive results for acne without side effects. The only difference is that when people go off an 80 mg course, they stay acne free. When people go off a 10 mg course, the acne comes back. But, regardless of the dose, these things would never go away completely. I\'d have to be on it forever...just to minimize bumps on my penis. It\'s a little crazy, considering the side effects aside from the mild ones I had (digestive issues, muscle issues, no sun etc)...so I doubt I\'d do it. I\'ve read a dozen different ways to get rid of them topically, but none seem to really work. I tried a few. They are part of the skin, so they don\'t want to go so easily.

It\'s interesting to me that when I have a lot of swelling (and when my Dick was bigger) it was harder to see them. There was more soft tissue / fluid or something.
