I would have thought a frequent visitor would know otherwise, but for those who are new to the site I should make it very clear: I voluntarily created this forum (prior to the knowledge of PMMA/Dr. C on this site) and invited a group of MyNewSize (a now defunct penis enlargement website) veterans to voluntarily Moderate this forum. I then added a few more to the Moderating staff to assist with the increased usage of this site. Myself & the Moderating team are NOT affiliated in any way shape or form with any physician or commercial interest. This site has no ads, no revenue, no profit. This is just a clarification for those who haven\'t followed this scene long-term. This site was made specifically to combat the ill-effects of having commercial interests vested into a site that involves PE information.

As for whether Dr. C & company has a member account here - I have no clue, but wouldn\'t be surprised if they have a lurker account.

Honestly, there is nothing that keeps you from going through the progress reports, collecting the information and building this table. Yes, it will take some time, but if that is the type of consolidated information you want/need, the information is here, you just have to put it together.

I had my 1st PMMA round (Metacrill 30%) in Oct. 2008 ( 5 yrs and 2 months ) and my 2nd rd. in June 2009 . And I had no complications what so ever (no FBG.s no necrosis) only irregularities and roughness.

But that does not mean PMMA is 100% safe, it depends on many factors e.g. the quality of the product, the technique and the experience of the doctor, blunt cannula, the volume of the injected filler in each session and the conc. of the PMMA.

Lets think about it this way :-

1) PMMA was first used in our body in 1946-1947 in Hip prosthesis by Judet , and I have found at least 2 papers (case reports) where they did revision surgeries for these 2 patients the 1st one after 45 yrs and the 2nd one after 51 yrs their findings were :-

1- In the 1st case the report confirms the extremely good tissue tolerance of PMMA, as reported by Judet in 1950, even after 45 years.

www.actaorthopaedica.be/acta/download/20...eurs-gardeniers-.pdf

2- In the 2nd case which makes it the first implant to have survived for longer than 50 years. No signs of aggressive osteolysis were found on histologic analysis, which confirms good tissue tolerance for PMMA.

www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15284993

2) As we know PMMA was used as a tissue filler around 1989 by Prof. Lemperle (25 years ago) which was called ARTEPLAST which was the 1st generation and the bad PMMA was used until 1994 which had the highest rate of FBG.s (btw it was only 2.5% in a study of 400 individuals; due to the present of smaller beads <20 microns, irregular surfaces with electro-static charges) compared with the other better generation of PMMA.
So if there were any serious complications e.g. with the bad one Arteplast (beside FBG.s, nodules and lumps. btw necrosis or emboli depends on the technique and the experience of the treating Dr.) wouldn\'t we hear or read about them by now.

There is a case I have mentioned about it before ; she had the bad PMMA product Arteplast in 1991 and check at her result after 15 years (check fig. 6+7) :-

www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2872008/

There is one trustable genius surgeon who has mentioned horrific stories in his site about Penile PMMA Bioplasty and its (about 15) complications ; I am sure he cares a lot about his patients and btw he has his own best paten product.

www.drelist.com/pmma-injection-penile

Check the pic. in case 1 ; IMO they have just zoomed in i.e. no differences between the before and after ( I am 100% sure ) so big lie and you can see also a scar V-Y for penile elongation ?? in the before pic. .
This guy is sooooooo stupid, he should find a better pic.

You\'re kidding right? This forum has seen email correspondences, pictures of the inside of the clinic, and the names of virtually the entire staff at Avanti Derma, I can\'t think of another physician\'s office that has been as transparent with an online forum. And what do you mean by a sign up board? Are you asking people to forgo patient confidentiality? If Dr. C hasn\'t already convinced you he believes in his work given the sheer volume of progress reports found here, you may want to consider another option (or forgo your \"consideration for surgery\").

Well many patients don\'t post all and may never post. It\'s a damn shame but there isn\'t much anything we can do about it, but I appreciate your initiative to motivate these guys. We have had threads and polls in the past to try to aggregate data but the problem is having enough of a sample size contributing to these \"science projects\" to make them worthwhile. Again, we need more contribution, especially from lurkers!

There is plenty of \"research\" done on these forums on most well-known phallo-docs, well at least as much research that could be done without being overly intrusive. Many answers can be found on these forums. If there is something missing from our research, then it requires that a willing & volunteer member do the research.

I realize it seems a little paranoid. It was just an example. All I\'m saying is that a \"penis is a terrible thing to waste.\" I\'m going to question everything in this endeavor. It is easy to stop questioning and become tunnel minded when you desire something.

This does not count me out of PMMA injections. Time is something I have at my age, so I might as well use it to observe and question. I think it would be good to put certain things into affect: a sign-up list/phalloboard poster in Dr. C\'s office? If he truly believes in his work, why would he not allow it? If I remember rightly, originally everyone had NP. Then it was taken off the market and he changed to using Metacril. Though both products were always both available.

The early logs are all NP and 20% concentration. I think GSX was the first and he\'ll be 3 years post procedure in Jan/Feb I think.

Smartman has had PMMA the longest though. He had Metacril about 5 years ago I think. I knew of him from the old yahoo Surgical Enhancement Group run by Ken Beaton.

This is why I posted in the link; call me paranoid, but I often think PhalloBoards does not show the full story. One of the only public reviews I find when doing more research outside of this site yields the website I posted containing all bad reviews. How do I know the people on this site are real? PhalloBoards is convincing, but I guess I can\'t buy it until I really see it. It would be like buying a car without checking it(the engine, the underside etc.). I know pictures are posted, but you must understand Dr. C could easily hire people to post pictures of his best results etc.

You\'ll say, but there are those that have had bad outcomes on the site. It is has been very few as mentioned by Skeptical. When I look at the ratio of good-to-bad on each site, I guess you could say I expected them to match. It is red flag in my mind that they don\'t. I am being cautious as this is my one and only penis. I want to be convinced more than anyone out there that PMMA is generally safe. I do believe the idea of a personal meet-up or skype-meeting would be helpful to see the tangible/personal reality of it as opposed to the digital reality, but I understand privacy is always an issue. This is not a decision I take lightly. I am still hopeful of PMMA and the possibilities that might exist in the future.

PhalloBoards does not show the full story, I can agree with you there. We\'re at the mercy of members to share their experiences, good or bad. That said, although we aren\'t the complete story, we\'re the closest you are going to get to the complete story when it involves Phalloplasty.

If the members on this forum weren\'t real, then this would the most phenomenal, invested, and thorough shill-job in all of this history of the internet. We\'d make MyNewSize blush if they were still around! If you need Skype to validate the stories or experiences on this forum, then your paranoia may be a bit much (no offense lol).

Okay fine fine, you got me! It\'s such a pain in the ass to keep changing my typing style from MustGetBigger to Miracle to Sizemic, let alone finding the right photos online to photoshop. I had to make up the occasional complication to keep it believable, and any member that tries to post about how their penis fell off after PMMA gets deleted and banned almost instantly. It\'s pretty damn corrupt, but you\'ve made me crack! Sorry to all the lurkers that thought Hoddle was some guy in England, pfft.

But PhalloBoards isn\'t selling anything!!!!!!

It seems to me most of our members use a very selective sub conscious editing process when reading these forums. Hence certain members have such polar opposite opinions of how the moderators want members to view things. On one hand we have people like you who think they are being sold a procedure and on the other hand we have members like Pontest who think we want to discourage our members and make them think size doesn\'t matter. To reach either conclusion you have to do some serious mental editing in terms of what you choose to take in and what you choose to ignore.

Oh and if the bad penis result is the guy I think it is, which it almost certainly is, I can tell you I virtually begged him to post about it on the forum. Instead he deleted all his posts!

Although I don\'t take those 2 reviews at makemeheal.com seriously (I prefer higher standards of reporting than mere internet hearsay), I do take seriously the potential for risk & complication in both the short & long term as it pertains to penile PMMA.

It\'s been repeated numerous times here, long-term effects & complications that develop years down the road are not well understood. Furthermore, with any medical procedure, there is a percentage of patients who will inevitably endure a complication of some sort (minor or major). What we do know is that major complications (any complication that affects the function & sensation of the penis long-term or permanently, or any complication that leads to severe deformity long-term or permanently) are virtually non-existent in the short term through reports found on this forum (minor complications are a different story). That may explain PMMA\'s popularity. But we must not allow instant gratification to cloud our judgement, and while I think the makemeheal.com reviews are questionable, they at the very least highlight the reality of this procedure and the seriousness of making the decision to have it done.

And members wonder why Moderators have a tendency to discourage this (or any) procedure, even in light of the fact that some of us have had it done. It isn\'t hypocrisy, we just care that you make your decision an educated one. If any of these potential complication scenarios aren\'t apparent to you before you commit to this procedure, you aren\'t informed enough.

fyi: Makemeheal (as well as HIV Facial Wasting forums) have both been discussed before as it relates to this thread\'s topic.

I totally agree w/ your comment about the 9x6 guy...I do not get that at all.

I am wondering if there\'s anything we can do to minimize the chance of these negative effects. Low dose allopurinol? Medrol dosepacks periodically? Trental (inhibits inflammation and TGF-b)? Is there a better understanding of the process that the body goes through to \"reject\" or adversely react to PMMA?

It may sound crazy to some to take pills every day (or perhaps just in the first few months) - but I am personally both desperate and paranoid enough to do it. In my case, I\'d take a penis transplant & take immune suppressants forever. I went from a normal 5+\" Girth to 4\" Girth (on a good day w/ viagra) from Peyronie\'s - so if I had to take a pill for the rest of my life to maintain a safe immune response to PMMA I would. Obviously, corticosteroids should not be taken daily except in true organ transplant cases - but other immune modulators are not that risky (trental, allopurinol, accolate, etc). Accolate may cause liver damage but a $20 LFT blood test regularly can assess that.

The only other \"downside\" to this is that I don\'t know if it would inhibit collagen synthesis. And, trental causes some sleep and digestive issues for some people.

Caroline1 has been discussed before. In her posts on other boards I\'m sure she never mentioned Necrosis.

The penis one has been discussed by some of us before as well and we are pretty sure it\'s one of our members who deleted all his posts. He sent me his photos and personally I don\'t think he had anything wrong. He started freaking out and started to think he had numerous problems he\'s read about on the forum. For example, I think I caused him to think he had a FBG, as I mentioned it to him and then a week or so later he started to see the symptoms. Then CHL posted about possible lymph problems and then suddenly he had them also. I told him about skin adhesions and then he thought he had them. Yet his photos actually looked pretty good and there was no sign of inflammation. I can\'t be sure it\'s the same guy, but he is from the same area, didn\'t tell his GF he was having the procedure and it was at the same time as the case mentioned.

But seriously, the possibility of complications like these shouldn\'t be surprise to anyone. Wake up guys and understand this isn\'t a procedure to taken lightly. In my opinion, it\'s pretty inevitable that some guys will eventually have serious problems. So unless your penis size is already causing you serious problems, in my opinion, it\'s best to stay on the side lines for a good while yet. I\'ll be honest, if threads like this scare some guys out of doing this, then it\'s probably a good thing in my opinion. Yesterday a guy with a natural 9x6 had a foreign body injected into his penis, which to my mind is pure madness!

The only penis related review (1 of 2 total reviews) is from the girlfriend of a patient who is freaking out over swollen glans

As some say on the internet: \"pics or gtfo.\"

I personally take reviews on less-than-adequately-moderated & financially-driven sites with a grain of salt. Just my 2cents.
