TOPIC: pmma disaster?!!

pmma disaster?!! 12 years 1 month ago #1275592546

came across this video regarding bioplasty and injection of silicon in the buttocks. i know its not quite the same as PMMA in the phallo world and im not sure how the silicon was administered but i figured id share anyway. i have been told that grandulas, scar tissue and migration of the actual PMMA has been known to form over time years after the procedure potentially causing limited blood flow to the area. i really want to move forward with my first session but I am honestly weighing out the pros and cons. your thoughts anyone?

All these things have been discussed many times. This video is actually quite useful as it shows some pretty unpleasant results of inflammatory reaction. Anyone considering PMMA needs to be fully aware of what the possible complications are, though at the moment I\'m not sure everyone does.

In my opinion, which isn\'t that valuable as I don\'t know much about PMMA, I don\'t think PMMA granulomas or inflammation will be as bad as those in the video. This is because there are different types of granuloma and those associated with silicone are known as Scelorosing (sp?) granuloma\'s and tend to be much more aggressive on the skin.

But complications like these just go to show why PMMA should be a last resort option, for those in real need. Maybe in a few years when we are more aware of what complication rates will be, those in less obvious need can consider this procedure. But at the moment we know very little about the longer term complication rate and are really just going on theory based on PMMA\'s history when injected in other areas of the body. My personal opinion is that long term there will be serious complications, but only a small percentage of guys. But my opinion is fairly worthless and in a few years time we might find that due to the dynamic nature of the penis, PMMA doesn\'t do as well there as in other parts of the body.

The subject was injected by a \"friend\" with silicone. Clearly street-stupid and not what I believe the guys on this forum would consider doing. For one... I believe we are genuinely concerned for our health and well being as are the handful of good doctors who have helped many of the guys on here. Careful, conservative, educated caution is how most of the guys on here got their expectations met without disaster. I have personally read, researched, and shared with forum members to find my own comfort to proceed with procedures including lig surgery and maybe PMMA after that. But I will not do any of this at home, at the hand of a friend, with materials found at the home depot, nor will I seek a Guinness record. In short (no pun) guys be informed, smart, and safe.

Off topic, but what made you decide to go ahead with the lig cut?

I\'m scheduled for 11.20 for lig cut. I figured that I would have the best outcome with lig cut then PMMA after a few months of stretching and healing. I\'m having my biceps and calves \'enhanced\' with PMMA by Dr. Casavntes on 11.21. I figured I\'d get some more of my bucket list crossed off. And PMMA is far less invasive than implants.
