The first was to remove the implant at no charge (he would charge my health care provider) then come back for a super pubic fat Removal. He claims the reason it\'s strange looking is because too much pressure from the fat in my lower abdomen is pushing the implant in and not down. I don\'t quite understand why first he didn\'t foresee this issue and second why my weight would have any incumbrence on the implant.
The second was to keep the implant and still do a abnoplasty to remove excess fat below my belly button.
I don\'t think I really need or want a lipo at all, maybe I\'ll just have it removed hen look into a PMMA option down the road as a filler.
This is one of Dr. Elist\'s' favorite moves. If anything goes wrong with the implant, he blames the patient.'
One thing I think I should add...Though this man 'is sociopathic (IMO) , and though I did advise (previously) that you shouldn\'t let him do another procedure on you, it might be worth considering having him be the one to remove the implant. The reason I say this is because he\'s removed (by now) so many implants, he\'s probably getting very good at it. Other doctors will not have that experience.'
Mustang had a very decent outcome from his
Removal with Dr. Elist...Minimal length loss and downtime.'
If you were to go down this road, make sure he takes it out in his surgicentre and not his clinic. Be very assertive and clear about how you don\'t want any length loss and would like to retain the added
Girth of the capsule.'
And again...Make sure he knows that you are reporting all this on the Internet on various sites. Write down what he says (in front of him) . This will at least give the appearance that you are not a push-over, that you are organized. and that you mean business.'
And regarding insurance. I hear from other guys on the forum who 'have had their insurance companies billed 'by Dr. Elist that apparently he submits ridiculous charges to these companies for this relatively minor procedure...One of our members I recall mentioned something like $28, 000. I personally wouldn\'t want my insurance company involved. The less paper trail the better...And Dr. Elist is responsible. Never cut him slack or he will interpret it as a sign of weakness.
Hoddle\'s advice about not acting too rashly is a good one. Assess your situation (implant, emotional, financial, time available, etc) thoroughly, explore the options available thoroughly, and then act.
Best of luck, MM
