There are many differnt types of collagen in our body. Type 1, Type 2 etc. etc. There is also a diseease called scleroderma, where basically due to your bodies autoimmune mistake you start depositing type 1 collagen all over your body and organs. THIS disease can be relentless and a very sad disease. Look at this for examplehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EF3x8xq-w0YMy question is if
PMMA beads do migrate to other organs during the first few days or week, will that mean in the long run its possible that you might end up getting something similar to scleroderma? My thinking is that odds are low. Simply because in scleroderma your body is reacting to a particular protein which is found in almost every cell, while in
PMMA even if beads end up in some organs, it will react to it maybe form a small collagen fibroma or something and stop. Can someone ask professor Lemperle (spelling) and ask for his opinion. I will be emailing Dr Casavante, and Dr. Passy about this to get their opinion.
