TOPIC: How might having a 'shower' affect penis lengthening surgery?

How might having a 'shower' affect penis lengthening surgery? 12 years 9 months ago #1272694246

I have never had much of issue with the size of my Flaccid penis. In fact it has always seemed like quite a good Flaccid length to me. Based on my Flaccid, unstretched length, I would imagine that most people who saw it would guess that my Erect length was about 6.5 inches.

The problem is that it doesn\'t grow much, only 1.5-2 inches, to an Erect length of 6 inches. I am unsatisfied with my Erect length especially in comparison with my Flaccid length and therefore I wish to increase it. I don\'t plan on having surgery any time soon; what I\'m trying to do is familiarize myself with this type of surgery and what results I could expect. Then, in the future, I might consider it more seriously.

So my question is this: Does having a shower in the Flaccid state, relative to Erect state, affect the outcome and result of ligament cutting surgery?

Or to put it another way, would the Flaccid and Erect gains for a shower be the same as for a Grower? I have read that average Flaccid gains are about an Inch, but I\'m guessing that a greater number of guys who opt for this type of surgery are unhappier about their Flaccid size than anything else, so the proportion of candidates might be more growers than showers.

So for someone with a decent Flaccid length but only average Erect length, would there be a lesser, equal or greater chance for Erect gains, which is my main goal?

The more of a shower you are, the less impressed you will be by the surgery. The surgery basically releases your penis so the flaccid length is almost equal to your erect length (it does not necessarily increase your erect length). The surgery makes growers into showers.
To gain erect length you need to hang weights/stretch for a good long time after the surgery to see results. (I did for almost 2 years, maybe a bit less after the surgery and I gained only about an 1\").
I am not sure there is any correlation with showers gaining more erect length in the long run (some people don\'t gain any erect length after the surgery, and I have even heard of people losing length from scar tissue).
(If you don\'t have plans for the surgery anytime soon, you may want to try stretching, or hanging/ jelqing and see if it works for you without the surgery), at least it will give you a head start if you have it. www.thundersplace.org is full of information about PE. I hope this is helpful.

Hi HunkyDory, thanks for the reply.

Well I am around 4-4.5 inches Flaccid depending on conditions. So I only grow 1.5 inches to get to my Erect length. Hypothetically speaking, if I were to have the surgery in the future and follow a Hanging or stretching regime to cement/gain 1 Inch Flaccid, that would bring my Flaccid length to 5-5.5 inches - a mere half Inch off my Erect length. That\'s what I\'m having trouble getting my head around, that my penis would only grow half an Inch from Flaccid to Erect and none of that new length would \'spill over\' to Erect length

I have been PE-ing on and off for about a year and a half. It was actually on a PE site that I first heard about this forum. I have tried stretching, Jelqing and Hanging. My most dedicated effort has come with Hanging but I have not gained any length whatsoever in either Flaccid or Erect length.

Hi Luuidx, anytime.
I don\'t know how many hours I put in to PE but it was a crazy amount. I am sure I could not do it again today. I was much more obsessive when I was younger and that lends itself to PE.
95% of my routine was stretching. My Flaccid length is 6\" and my Erect length is just a hair under 7\" (when I stopped PE it was 7.25, so I have shrunk some). My size, however, is a bit of false advertising. If you see me Flaccid you may think I have a 9\" penis. I have even had someone tell me they thought I would be bigger, some people are never satisfied.
The way the surgery was explained to me is, the ligament is cut releasing your penis, bringing everything forward the way it comes forward in an Erection. It is not necessarily adding Erect length - just Flaccid length. The Erect length that doctors frequently advertise comes from PE after the surgery - stretching/Jelqing etc.
I was not that interested in the lengthening surgery. At the time however, the Girth and the length surgery were done at the same time. It was only a little more money for the lengthening when combined with the Girth surgery so I thought why not, I am already going under the knife. After, the Dr\'s office (Dr. Reed) even asked if a few of his clients could call me because I was having more success in getting length than they were. From what I could tell the difference was they had lives and I was in college so I could stretch all the time (6-8 hours a day) and they could not. I think PE is a function of time and it takes a while before you see any progress (4-5 months - but all this is just my experience.)
Also someone on here mentioned possible injury from PE, and I think they are definitely correct. I did not do crazy weights. I did continuous mild stretching using the Grip and an elastic cord. I found that anything heavy caused my penis to want to retract, mild stretching did not - so I went with that.

Hi hunkydory,

So what length was your penis before you started any form of PE?

In total, how much have you gained in Flaccid and Erect length and how much of that came before and after your lengthening surgery? From your experience, do you think that length gains come on a lot easier and quicker once the ligaments have been cut? I have tried all day stretching and a lot of Hanging but to no avail.

Also, I\'ve been wondering about this, when you tug your penis forward, do you still feel like there is a knot at the root of your penis attaching your penis to your body? I just imagine the post surgery penis being easier to pull out from within the body with less resistance. Does the stretched Flaccid length increase or remain the same after surgery?

Thanks

So what length was your penis before you started any form of PE? Hmm... I think my Erect length was 6.25\" pre-surgery and I don\'t remember what my Flaccid was but it was around 4.5\" I would guess. In total, how much have you gained in Flaccid and Erect length and how much of that came before and after your lengthening surgery? Right after the surgery my Flaccid was about 6\" and during the peak year(s) where I was stretching it got to 7.25\" Flaccid. My Erect length post surgery and stretching was 7.25\" - so I gained about 1\" in Erect length from the surgery PE combination. If I recall I only gained about .25\" Erect length post surgery and no stretching.Over the years since I have stopped stretching - it has been a while now - my Flaccid had stayed constant at 6\" and my Erect length is between 6.75\"- 7\" depending on how aroused I am. That has also stayed constant for the past 10 years.
From your experience, do you think that length gains come on a lot easier and quicker once the ligaments have been cut? I have tried all day stretching and a lot of Hanging but to no avail.Dr. Reed told me that having the surgery does make gains more possible. I tend to trust him because he is so conservative with his claims. It makes sense that it would be, but I don\'t have anything to compare it to, or know any science behind it. It seems that there is something definitely still attaching my penis at the base - but I don\'t remember what it felt like before so can\'t hep you too much there. Yes my stretched Flaccid length definitely increased. There was a short period at the end of my stretching where the Flaccid length started to be longer than my Erect length. It had topped 7.25\" and I even called a Doctor or 2 to discuss this at the time. I was told that the Erect length would increase to catch up to the Flaccid with continued stretching but I was starting to get bored with the whole process and was completely happy with my length. Now of course, I wish I had put in 1 more year just to see if 8\" was at all a possibility.
What did happen however, was that my Erect length surpassed the size of the graft in my penis and the graft stopped abruptly before it got to the base of my penis. It was like a dent on 1 side. I had to have more surgery to have the dermal graft tapered at the base.I also had a lot of hair up the shaft of my penis - it was like I had 1.5\" of pubic hair on my penis so I had it laser\'d off, which I highly recommend. I was getting ingrown hairs and rashes from shaving it all the time. Best!

Hi, thank you for your great answers, they are very informative and answered some niggling questions that I had.

1.5\" of pubic hair on the shaft, that sure seems like a lot! I have about 0.4 inches of base shaft with a few specks of hair and even that annoys me.

I\'m trying to picture what happens when the ligs have been cut... does some of the pubic region where the pubes are sort of \'migrate\' down to form part of the \'new\' penis skin? Does this area then not appear stretched and taut? Like when you look down at your Erect penis, does the pubic area not sort of look stretched and taut in a V-shape towards the penis? Does it look natural?

Lastly, I have read numerous times on medical websites that after penis lengthening surgery, the penis becomes less stable because the ligament support has been removed. This apparently makes the penis \'shift and slide\' during intercourse. This is one of the things that worries me most about this procedure. I don\'t want my penis to feel unstable during sex. Did you experience any of this shifting and sliding?

Thanks

If I recall some of the pubic hair did migrate down after the surgery and a lot more did after the stretching - thats how I ended up with all the hair at the base of my Dick.
My pubic area never looked stretched or taut and definitely looks natural. There is a short 1\" scar in the pubic region from the surgery but that has healed and is almost not noticeable.
My penis is not now or ever felt unstable - and I have had a lot of sex with it over the years. The biggest difference pre/post surgery is that the surgery does change the angle of your Erection. Some peoples erections angle upward, mine may have - I don\'t remember, but after the surgery everyones \"drops\" so it is more perpendicular to the body. I don\'t think it is odd or looks unusual, but that is the biggest structural difference I noticed.
