TOPIC: PMMA - slight burning sensation?

PMMA - slight burning sensation? 12 years 8 months ago #1272392990

I\'m just wondering if anyone else had a slight burning sensation after their procedure. I\'m about a week out, and this slight sensation will come and go randomly, sometimes almost feeling like a pinch. Did anyone else get that?

Yea, the occasional itching and the occasional pulsating sensation (I\'m not sure I\'d call it a burning sensation, but I can see how it may be characterized that way), all of which subsided over time.
However, it would be wise to monitor and take note of its frequency & intensity.

Thanks S.O. I\'ve noticed the pulsating too. I suppose the burning sensation is more around my entry points.

I get a burning sensation. I was just thinking to post about it today. Does anyone have any idea of what it could be?

I had it too for a few weeks. I believe it to be the body healing and adjusting to the PMMA spheres and the growing of the Collagen, but not sure. At any rate, it should subside in a few weeks. Although, for me, sometimes I get a bit of itching and very minor discomfort every now and then where the PMMA is but it never lasts for very long. When I have sex on daily basis it seems to cause some discomfort but I think that is normal when one has sex consecutively.

Hi airmailpuppet
Welcome to the PMMA club. I would suggest you check my progress thread which I just updated. I believe I experienced something very similar to what you are seeing, so it may be worth you reading up what I did and the outcome. The main thing I would say to you is not to worry about it too much as its a temporary thing

Zol, thank you for making reference to your thread. i took comfort in realizing that the symptom is sometimes normal to the process. I am sorry that you had to struggle alone for so long without the comfort of knowing that others had experienced it as well. That is the true value of the early contributors to this board.

Sounds like swelling to me personally..throbbing and itching. It\'s the same thing that happens when one is stung by a yellow jacket or gets a splinter. Thats is just my take on it when relating it to nature
