TOPIC: any success from vy-plasty for length?

Has anyone had a successful vy-plasty for length? I thinking of having mine reversed, but now I am thinking about possibly having the lump from my vy-plasty modified. Possibly scar tissue is keeping me from obtaining the length I could have had...
I did gain approx 2.5\" Flaccid from my vy-plasty. Erect length? Maybe 1/2\" Maybe I\'m bone-pressing or stetching when I get that extra 1/2\". So probably no Erect gain.Wish I had better pre-op numbers (it was 1996..)
I will say...immediately post-op and for about 2 weeks post-op, my length gain was quite huge, both Flaccid and Erect. The surgeon put in a massive graft. Swelling went down and my proximal lump formed (it wasn\'t there for the first 2 weeks). And my Erect length went back to where it is today. Did my graft contract? Dr Reed surmised that it might have. My lump really is big. Looking at photos from Dr Alter\'s site (of guys who had their vy-plasties reversed), their proximal lumps aren\'t as big as mine. I\'m more disfigured.
Any thoughts?

Do you have any photos? The trouble with assesing gains from a Y/V plasty is that the skin flap distorts things. It gives the illusion of length gain as the skin is promoted forward, hence a succesful Y/V will appear tog ive more gains than a transverse incision, which is why some surgeons still perform it, despite the problems many have.

I\'ve had a semi reversal of the V/Y and now have an inverted U shape. I\'m in the process of trying to have some hairs grafted into the scar to camoflauge it. If your scars are flat and relatively soft, it might be worth just having the lump modified and then looking to camoflauge the scar with some hair transplants and or hair tatoos.

I have a bit of a lump, which I believe is cause by scar tissue growing in the dead space under the flap. It was a lot worse, but since my scar corrections it\'s better. I\'m hoping once I\'ve had the transplants and some tatooing, it will be hard to detect I\'ve had anything done it that area.

Dont rule out Dr Camacho for reconstruction, he managed to successfully remove my scar tissue, straighten my penis, and fix an adhesion. My penis is more than back to normal with a length gain of half an Inch in Erect state. Plus he will most likely be half the price as Alter, and he is an expert at modern V-Y plasty. He can re-contour your fat and probably redo your v-y.

I didn\'t really understand Dr. Camacho\'s recommendations. He wanted to remove my dfg. He mentioned that I may need a skin graft (due to lack of skin from the base to the glans). I emailed for clarification, but didnt\' receive a response.
