TOPIC: Dr. C No Longer Recommends Dual-Augmentation

Dr. C No Longer Recommends Dual-Augmentation 13 years 2 months ago #1270203005

Dr. Casavantes no longer recommends dual-augmentation, on the same day that is*.
It has been observed that patients who undergo dual-augmentation (specifically on the same day) with Dr. Casavantas\'s PMMA procedure and Dr. Camacho\'s Lengthening procedure via scrotal incision tend to experience less than desirable outcomes. Because of these concerns, Wade has informed me that Dr. Casavantes will no longer be performing PMMA on the same day a patient chooses to get the lengthening procedure.
It is also noted that the lengthening procedure has been quoted at $3500 at this time.

Reasons for this move include the patient\'s inability to properly massage the shaft post-op because of the type of swelling. Furthermore, surgery itself exacerbates the potential for complication. It was noted that patients who tended to have the most complaints and/or less-than-desirable outcomes were patients who had both procedures done in the same day. It is advised that patients do both procedures apart, with sufficient healing time in between.
I talk to Wade from time to time to touch base on both my own progress as well as to obtain any news worthy of relaying to the forum.

Hi SO,
Are there PhalloBoards members who reported issues with this or is it due to people problems suffered by people we don\'t know here in the boards?

Hopefully it doesn\'t have anything to do with the two doctors not working good together as I have a dual webbing reduction and PMMA October 15th!

Zmann- the two dr\'s actually have quite a lot of respect for one another, I know because I had both procedures done the same day and spoke with both doc\'s. I also agree with Dr. C Had i known that the pain would make it impossible to massage the PMMA into areas i needed I would have opted for length and then PMMA much later. I am def not happy with my outcome, but I do not fault anybody for it. I just believe that its better to have them both done separately. I found a lot of the PMMA looks to be at my base and I think that there will have to be quite a few sessions of 20 percent 10 percent 5 percent and 2 percent just behind the glands to achieve the results I want.

Swampman is right... it was more or less a concern for the outcome than anything between doctors or practices.
HC, due to confidentiality, Wade would never tell me who specifically had issues, but to his knowledge, outcomes were likely to be less desirable by those who had dual-augmentation than those who did not.
This is a precautionary move on Dr. C\'s part.
