I don\'t think donators should be given different titles depending on how much they give. Anyone who donates should be given the title \"forum donator\". It seems wrong that a guy can donate $100 and be given a loftier status than someone who donates just $10, but has contributed so much over the years to help us have the knowledge we now have.

For example, if Mikehok donated just $10 and a new member who recently had PMMA donated $100, it seems wrong that the new guy is seen as more generous. I know for a fact that Mikehok spent several hundred dollars on PE research which he passed on for free to help others in the past. GSX and EP have surely done more than any amount of donated money by just being prepared to take the risk and their share their PMMA experiences.

I\'d encourage everyone to donate, but it seems kind of crass to reward the bigger donators with special titles. In my opinion if you donate do it because you are grateful for the information you learned from this site and the only reason anyone should have a title, is to highlight the fact we do survive on donations and they are what will help keep this site free and impartial. The titles \"forum donator\" should be there to encourage others who believe the site was genuinley beneficial to them to donate. I don\'t think they should be used as some kind of ranking system as many have contributed much more than money to the PE community over the years. PhalloBoards isn\'t the beginning and much of the information found here is the result of people sharing their PE surgery experiences over many years and these experiences don\'t come for free.

I can\'t speak for Skeptical One since he\'s the admin of the site and the one who created this place, but I think it\'s safe to say that MANDATORY payment is not what this site is about. Obviously, we would appreciate it if donations were made to cover the cost of hosting, etc. Furthermore, if donations didn\'t cover the cost of hosting, then the site might be shut down.
The philosophy of PhalloBoards is that this is a site where members can communicate about this subject without fear of censorship and can do so in a respectful manner. Furthermore, the point is to have a site not affiliated with a particular physician to eliminate bias. Basically, this site was created to get at the truth.

Will this site eventually become a paid site?

ok last shot was a mixture of the above and the inclusion of platinum title. I like that ! Mustang I think SO should still be able to veto make final call and what he can do if he has a project is to set up a poll and we can all vote.

Extra funds to be kept in an interest earning account and to be used for future needs...approval of these funds is by SO and mods Unless general voting is really needed. SO and mods decide what is \"really needed\". Members can vote to change SO and mods decision by at least 80% of members who vote.

The last post sounds good, now just set up the paypal so we can begin to donate!

If someone really feel that 15 bucks is too much we could have plan ole Donor at 10 USD

Anything less should get a thank you very much email and if they donate later and their total contribution gets them up to a title then their title changes. This way someone who finds the site enriches their life and decisions positively but has little money could donate something every so often and the title would change.

I would have paid hundreds to have gotten the info I have. Without this site and the pioneers who did PMMA I would not have sat here smiling at my Cock...Priceless!

I would not pay hundred for the title thats just there for fun but I am lucky in many respects and I just think its the least I can do considering what it has done for me.

I would suggest that the mods and SO decide among themselves, since everyone of them has a respectable opinion on this forum.
I believe Justabitmore\'s suggestion on the contribution amount is pretty high, I would recommend as previously discussed with SO contributions of 5USD and a ranking system as such:
Donor: $5
Bronze Donor: $10
Silver Donor: $18-20
Gold Donor: $25

And maybe a compromise of Justabitmore\'s suggestion with a Philanthropist Donor: $100.

These would all be one time contributions, with the option of being a regular donor. A regular donor should be a personal decision.

Any donations over 10 bucks and you can make the list you wrote about. Ie a list you can look up.

For the title \'paid my dues\' 25 bucks

Forum Donor 50 bucks

Forum philanthropist 100 USD


You should be able to upgrade so your total donation give you a change of title IE you might only be able to give 25 now but later you will be able to give more and then your title gets upgraded.

OK for anyone who thinks that this is too much I will remind that person or those people that the information on this site is worth ten times the suggested donations. Also if you are serious about PE you will spend thousands on equipment or surgery, travel and so on. Why not send 10-100 dollars on research?

Lastly I think people should keep their other titles too so when newbies and others watch they can appreciate the members contribution not only in running the site but also in traffic and communication. Also that way you can\'t just buy instant credibility.

IE you could Forum philanthropist and Legend at the same time.


Regarding any surplus.

SO you are a man of enormous integrity. I don\'t think you should need approval from anyone. but if you want then let everyone know what you have in mind and ask people to vote for it!

Or arrange a big night out for Forum members! Imagine our combined Girth lol.

I also think that any other expenses you incur from travel, phone and so on can be reimbursed if there is funds. Maybe buy your moderators a pizza once a year or even a t shirt saying Girth revolution!
