Plagiarism or fraud? Neither are good, but degrees of severity are what distinguish these two sins. He does offer penis work apparently (nowadays every-other Doctor thinks that access to a needle makes them a world-class penile injector, smh), but as a medical professional, he's lacking in the "ethics" department.
This is disappointing. Phalloplasty has suffered from a history of unscrupulous doctors and unreliable methods, and it wasn't until the past decade that legitimate options began to surface. Since phalloplasty isn't technically a medical discipline (like Dermatology or Urology), it has no regulation or standardization, effectively making it the "Wild Wild West" of aesthetic medicine. This explains why the field has a disproportionate number of unethical practitioners and botched surgeries. This also explains, historically, why phalloplasty marketing has been so deceptive, since there are so far & few performing these procedures to validate or substantiate their claims (and explains in a nutshell why this forum exists).
Granted, Dr. Emer's misuse of CALIBRE's content isn't nearly as egregious when compared to some of the more truly horrifying stories in this field, however, the persistence of these kind of marketing tactics still disappoint me. I'd really like to expand the tent of PhalloBoards Sponsors & Physicians in the coming years, but it's becoming harder to find qualified practitioners with nonsense like this.
