Dr.
Oates - I've reviewed numerous of your replies here on PB and I (we) appreciate your participation.I have several questions for you. I didn't want to hijack anyone else's thread so I thought I'd ask them here. I see your clinics are located in Sydney and Perth. Which clinic do you frequent the most? If I were to fly in all the way from the US I'd prefer to be treated by you. Even though I'm sure doctors you've trained are highly trained and very qualified.Do you ever venture out to the US to perform these procedures? Have you ever met Dr.
Morganstern? (Atlanta, GA) (just wanted your feedback on options he's offering)Do you believe
Ellanse fillers you're using are the same type he is? (Is
Ellanse a regulated substance made in a western lab or something that widely differs based on where it was made/purchased?) I'm asking because I noticed some members here chose a '4-year option' filler while others speak of the 'L' version, etc.?Can you explain how the longevity timeframes are derived? Is it based on a concentration of a specific chemical? In other words, the higher the concentration of XYZ, the longer it'll last?...and if that's the case, is there such a thing as having to choose quality (concentration) versus quantity (duration)?...or better yet, is 2-year filler for example of better quality (finer grain, etc.) than a 4-year filler? ..or it ot the other way around?
My understanding is that the finer the particles in the mix the harder/firmer the final product? Basically the more of the tiny 'foreign particles' in the mix that the collagen has to encapsulate, the thicker/firmer the feel? Am I wrong in my assumption? If there's no difference why wouldn't everyone choose the filler with the longest duration?Have you ever used it on patients who've had
FFT in the past? (20+ years ago)For someone who's never used
Ellanse, would you suggest having a small amount of the filler injected under skin on another part of the body (arm, leg, etc.) to determine whether he or she is allergic to the chemicals in the mixture before going through with the actual procedure? The idea of mixing free-fat with
Ellanse worries me BUT I've seen many very positive reviews so far so I try to stay optimistic. I apologize the many questions but I've enjoyed your interaction with members of
PhalloBoards and figured you're the person to ask these questions.
Cheers!
