 We recently had a prospective patient ask why some enhancement providers include Botox or another neurotoxin with penile filler, while Rejuvall does not.

It’s a fair question, especially because it is increasingly being marketed as part of the filler procedure.

The idea behind it is fairly simple: neurotoxin can temporarily reduce muscular contraction, so some providers use it in an attempt to decrease penile retraction or “Turtling” while the filler is settling. In theory, keeping the penis more relaxed and extended during that period may help the filler settle more evenly.

**At Rejuvall, we don’t routinely use Botox for that purpose because Dr. Carney has not found it necessary to achieve a smooth filler result.**

The bigger issue is *why* the penis is retracting and *how* the filler is being placed.

Penile filler is not simply a matter of putting a certain number of syringes underneath the skin. The injector has to understand the different tissue layers, how those tissues move, where filler should and should not be placed, how the penis changes between its retracted, Flaccid and Erect states, and how to distribute the product accordingly.

That is also why Dr. Carney developed his **MacroSculpting™ technique** rather than relying on filler volume alone to create the final contour.

If neurotoxin is routinely needed just to keep the penis from retracting enough for the filler to settle properly, our position is that it makes more sense to address the technique and the anatomy than to automatically add another injectable.

There is also an important distinction here:
**This does not mean Botox has no potential use in the penis.**

Rejuvall does use neurotoxin selectively in certain patients for other clinical purposes, including some ED-related cases. But that is very different from adding it routinely to every non-surgical Girth enhancement procedure.

For a cosmetic filler patient without another indication, Dr. Carney generally considers it an unnecessary additional expense with limited benefit.

So if you’re comparing providers and one includes “penile Botox” with filler while another doesn’t, don’t automatically assume the clinic offering more injections is providing a more advanced treatment.

A better question is:
**Why does the injector believe the Botox is necessary, and what problem is it supposed to solve?**

That answer can tell you quite a bit about how the filler procedure itself is being approached.
