Hello everyone.
With the feedback I've gotten over the past couple years, and with my personal growing frustration with the message board's outdatedness, I've committed to providing
PhalloBoards 3.0 a cosmetic makeover with improved functionality. It's not a total makeover in the sense that we're getting a new site, but it will feel new in many ways nonetheless.
The Forum will have essentially the same type of template, but a more upgraded iteration. The search function will improve radically, and creating and posting topics will become easier for newer members. This is slated to happen hopefully by month's end -- right now it's being stress tested so that when it goes live, all content and membership accounts are preserved.
IMPORTANT NOTE: at present time the migration of the private message (PM) system is not entirely clear as it was custom built independent of the forums; if you have any important conversations in them, I would strongly recommend copying & pasting them into a document file on your computer/device now. That isn't to say they are definitively going to be lost, deleted, or unrecoverable, but with a number of complexities already surfacing in the first TRULY SIGNIFICANT batch of changes on this site (one could almost call it version 3.5 or 4.0), some priorities supersede others, and my first & foremost goal is to preserve everything that's already publicly available today.
Then continued roll-outs will happen through the end of Summer, including a more comprehensive Phallo-Guide, some greater site-interactivity, and possibly some implementation of AI tools.
Some of these are already built and others are in development; these message boards (the Forums) is 100% done and like I said previously, is awaiting scheduled "beta testing" before going live.
I hope it improves everyone's user experience.
