Been doing a lot of research on PMMA here and other sites and I’m considering getting PMMA so that I can gain an Inch in Girth.

I’m 38 single in good health and workout 6 days a week, I’m about 6-1/2” BPEL and 5” MEG. Through my research I’m not as concerned about the immediate risk such as nodules or lumps/aesthetic issues that can be addressed with proper aftercare and/or a follow up round. My concern is more down the road, I see members on here who have had PMMA from a range of 5yrs to 13yrs(longest I could find) reporting no issues or simple aesthetic issues. The ask here is for anyone who has had this for long period of time, what changes if any have you seen over years? Does your sensation change, have you lost/gained size, has your aesthetic change over time, develop lumps/bumps years later(found one case on here), has the collagen shifted in later years, have you experienced inflammation on occasion or frequently, when going for a regular medical checkup has a doctor said anything or cause you issues regarding medical procedures or any medication a doctor gave you for something unrelated?

I’m just trying understand any long term issue that may present itself so that I feel like a can live with this long term as this a life changing decision. I see most people enjoy there outcome and are happy with it immediately but I’m not sure down the road as people don’t always report back when there satisfied, they just go on enjoying there new big D.

Any insight on living with PMMA years later. Good and bad are appreciated though I’m more concerned with the negative because the positives are fairly obvious.

Also curious (feel weird asking this), are there any adult performers who have had this done? I suspect performers like Preston Parker or Erik Everhard have. There aren’t many videos on this forum and I think seeing a performer with this on video helps understand what it will look like when I have it. Also if they’ve been around for a long time speak to how well PMMA holds up over time. I know there’s rules on explicit materials here so just a name for me to research or PM is appreciated regarding this part.

Also just want to mention how this community of men helping each other with an issue every man thinks about is awesome and greatly appreciated.

Hello and you've come to the right place. If you don't mind me asking, what "other sites" have you been researching because there are far & few trusted sources as it pertains to cosmetic male procedures (namely penis enlargement).

Your concern is a valid one, the same concern that's been expressed since PMMA was introduced to this forum nearly 14ish+ years ago. My recommendation would be to peruse the PhalloBoards 2.0 forums and spend all the necessary time you need to see the evolution, progress, and (relative) success of this procedure.

As of now, there is no known significant concern of injecting reasonable volumes of PMMA in the shaft skin long-term. It is not toxic, carcinogenic, in fact it's quite bio-compatible and inert. I myself had my first round of injections in the Summer of 2011 and haven't had any concerning hiccups since -- this is seemingly true for many of the forum veterans who have stopped back in (whether publicly on the forum or through back channels like email) to let me know things are as good as they've always been.

Is it possible there are risks, both short and long term? Yes, this is an elective procedure, and like all cosmetic procedures, they are not without risk. To most optimize results and minimize risks, you ought to see Practitioners who are advancing the field and have the "3 E's" I consider most important: experience, expertise, and ethics.

The trouble I have with trying to correlate any medical condition you may experience with PMMA is that there is no reliable medical, physical, physiological, or practical reason why the inertly encased microspheres isolated in the dermal layers of your body would be the cause (or partly the cause) for conditions that are often diagnosed in men regularly without the presence of PMMA.

I suspect your concern is the inflammation, and in theory I can see the cause for pause -- there is (while very limited in review online) reason to believe large volumes of silicone oil can trigger some ailments of the kidneys, and that there has been at least one case I read where PMMA was allegedly involved. Here are some factors to consider with this info:
  1. There have been (and still are) Injectors who have injected men with silicone oil while having been told it contained PMMA (I know this to be factually true), so the complications may not have fully 100% established PMMA as the culprit.
  2. Regardless of it being silicone oil (bad news) or PMMA, one thing the few cases had in common were large volumes injected intramuscularly (we're talking many hundreds of cc's/mL's). This amount of volume could in theory induce enough inflammation to actually trigger complications down the road, and despite few reports on it, such observations have been made (again, consider the first bullet-point that we don't know how many of these were authentic, medical-grade PMMA). The penis on the other hand injects the filler intradermally with 10-20 cc's/mL's at a time (usually over 2-4 sessions).
  3. The sheer scarcity of these reports, both through medical publications and this forum for a decade and a half is a strong indicator that it holds up remarkably well for the vast majority of patients, or at least, that's what I make of these observations. In addition, many Doctors I know (Sponsors and Non-Sponsors alike) who deal with fixing complications from prior procedures usually list the silicone implant (associated with Elist) and silicone oil (associated with Loria) as their top offenders, and PMMA often being an aesthetic matter than a penile-health matter.

I’ve been looking at any and all information I can find on the procedure to try and best inform myself before taking the plunge. I try and take everything with a grain of salt as you said there aren’t many trusted sources. I’ve also been looking at any information regarding PMMA itself and how it’s been used in other procedures. For example PMMA being used in the face for things like your smile lines seems to have good results, vs when it’s used in the lips it tends to create nodules or bumps in the lips months or years later. I couldn’t give you a specific website as I’m reading through progress reports here and then researching anything I may question or want to better understand why an outcome happened or didn’t.

I agree with many points you made especially regarding finding someone with the three E’s as you stated. I’m considering Avanti to have this done as they seem like they have great reviews and tend to be conservative in their approach.

Inflammation is a concern as I’ve heard of cases on here where members have sex and then their penis becomes inflamed and swollen afterwards (didn’t sound serious but concerning). Like you said I’ve seen some of these cases have other substances involved other than just PMMA , but also those who’ve had just PMMA. I do like to go multiple rounds with partner and I wouldn’t want this to prevent it or make things painful. I have not seen this as widespread issue with this procedure but I just want take every outcome into account.

Regarding your point on volume that’s exactly what I’ve seen in the progress reports. People over do it and have issues with aesthetics and sensation. Through my research on PMMA in general I found case where PMMA was used for BBL’s and injected intramuscular in large volumes causing severe reactions such as seizures and strokes.

One of my main concerns would be aesthetic changes over time. Lumps or bumps that may appear years later. Migration of the filler/collagen years later, one case I read on here was gentlemen that claimed it felt like a piece of the collagen felt like it became partially detached and he could feel it move? If I get in long term relationship I don’t want to have to explain why my penis is changing aesthetically as that doesn’t sound like a fun conversation.

I’m starting to dig through Phalloboard 2.0, and I may get the year membership so I can see photos. If I can ask since you got your first round of PMMA have you notice changes in your penis aesthetically over the years? Have you gotten touch ups because it changed overtime? Not counting follow up rounds to get your ideal result, but rather you notice a change 5yrs out or so and get a touch up.

If there were a way to “pin” this response @Skeptical_One so that anyone who’s asked/ing this question in contemplating PMMA for things to consider before moving forward with enhancement, your response definitely be THE response to end all considerations.

I am 2 years in from getting PMMA and everything is totally fine. I have zero regrets now (in fact, I had buyers remorse) but am fully happy now. I went with a trusted group - Avanti Derma - and they too respond on here frequently with the same level of carefully thought out responses for any guy on the fence about it. Like you, @DaveSins , I did my research on the 2.0 site and realized how far the procedures advanced in this field. And while there was some anxiety leading up to, and during the healing process, I ultimately am so pleased with it, to the point where I’d like to go back for more. So all that’s to say, choose the trusted group and go from there with any and all remaining concerns.

The normal range in Total ml/cc‘s after a Pmma Journey is around 60-80 cc.
Lately we see users (especially from Dr Rupeka- with even higher volumes)

What is your total Volume @Skeptical_One ?

I’m not sure you’re right. I got 21cc total, and Avanti Derma injects at about this average. Rupeka does in fact inject more but I’m sure you’ve done your research on this to know that the greater the amount the higher chance for irregularities.

I appreciate the idea and yes, I'll pin it.

I genuinely don't remember approaching nearly 14 years out from my first session, once I got to where I wanted to be, the 'mental burden" of any size insecurity dissipated quickly, as did my recollection of the specifics this far out post-op. I believe all my appointments occurred between 2011 through 2015, both for girth and revision / aesthetic correction. If I were to guestimate, 70-90 cc's of 10%, 20%, and 30% concentrations in total, aimed to provide a natural looking taper and heft (i.e. weighty girth). No complications to speak of.

@odouble what was your initial buyers remorse? What changed?

Hey! It was basically a full Inch gain but with swelling. I thought it might be too much for wifey to handle. I ultimately settled at a .7 Inch gain and wifey has adjusted. I was just obsessing over it post-procedure, which I don’t think gets discussed as much. I wrote a thread on it, there’s some great points made by guys on there. Wifey says that if it’s in our budget this year then I can go for round 2. But I’m hesitant based on some guys’ comments that 2nd rounds usually have a greater risk for irregularities and wifey says that it’s borderline uncomfortable!
